Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam [UPCET]
Like every state has its entrance exam to get college admissions done, even UPCET is a State level Exam conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, also known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UTP). It is said to be the most highly considered exam in India. Through UPCET, candidates could get seats for engineering, management, and pharmacy programs and a few PG-level courses.
UPCET syllabus varies based on the course candidates are willing to choose as their stream. It is a pen and paper-based test that is an offline mode; different slots can be selected based on the applied courses. Be considered that UPCET counseling will be conducted at the same time for all UG programs.
For seeking admissions for the courses through lateral entry, UPCET is considered and based on that, allotment of seats will be done. Nearly 1.5 lakh students appear for this entrance exam every year, which is conducted across 148 centers in the state.
UPCET counseling is done based on the candidate’s performance in the exam, followed by locking the choice and processing with UPCET applications and then admissions to the college. While filling out the application form, candidates choose to mark 3 cities as examination centers. The university has a UPCET correction facility for making changes in the application form on the specified dates only.
