- They do not need to submit a domicile certificate. Instead, a certificate from the company must be submitted with the application, stating that the individual is a permanent member of the company, along with proof like an Income Tax Return for the past 5 years.
Qualifying Exam Eligibility Criteria
These are the minimum academic qualifications needed for a student to be eligible for TNEA 2025. The TNEA eligibility criteria 2025, based on Qualifying Exams, are:
- Students must pass HSC (Academic/ Vocational) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subjects.
- Students in the general category must achieve an aggregate of 50% in HSC (Academic/ Vocational).
- Students in the Backward Class, including Backward Class Muslim students, must achieve an aggregate of 45% in HSC (Academic/ Vocational).
- Students in MBC (Most Backward Classes) and DNC (Denotified Class) must achieve an aggregate of 45% in HSC (Academic/ Vocational).
- Students in SC/SCA/ST (Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Caste sub-category/ Scheduled Tribe) must achieve an aggregate of 45% in HSC (Academic/ Vocational).
Mining Engineering Branch Eligibility Criteria

- According to the Mines Act 1952, section 46, no woman can work:
- In any part of the mine below the ground.
- In any part of the mine above the ground except between the hours of 6 A.M. and 7 P.M.
- According to the Coal Mines Regulation 1957, section 86, no woman or adolescent can go up or down using a shaft in a cage or other means of conveyance unless one or more adult males accompany them.
