Step 1: At first, candidates are required to log on to the official website (@ www.ongcindia.com)
Step 2: On the home page, click on the “Career” tab and then select the desired post
Step 3: The information Brochure will display on the screen, read the instructions carefully and make sure the eligibility conditions and then proceed to click on the “Apply online” tab
Step 4: Then, the page will direct to the Registration Window; candidates required to click on the link states, “Click here for New Registration”
Step 5: Continue to enter the details such as Name, Valid Mobile Number, Email ID, and the relevant details to complete the registration process.
Step 6: Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a unique registered ID and password for their registered Email ID.
Step 7: Candidates must use those login credentials to log in to the application form portal. Upon successful login, the application form window will display on the screen.
Step 8: Thereafter, proceed to fill out all the necessary details mentioned in the ONGC application form. After filling out the required details, upload the scanned images of the photograph along with the signature in a prescribed format.
Step 9: Then, candidates are required to pay the application fees according to the category and job role. ONGC Application fees vary for each different vacancy/job role.
Step 10: Upon successful payment, submit the application form, take the printout of same and keep it for reference purposes.
ONGC Selection Process
The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) entrance exam. For some ONGC Recruitment vacancies, the authority will shortlist the candidates based on GATE scores, and such candidates will be called for a further selection round, namely the personal interview round.
- For some job roles, non-GATE qualifiers are also eligible. In such cases selection of the candidates will be done by considering previous academic qualifications and based on the performance in the personal interview round.
- Shortlisted candidates must carry the necessary educational documents (originals) and attend the interview session according to the prescribed time schedule.
- It is important to note that candidates who are working in the Public sector or government need to submit the NOC (No Objection Certificate) declared by the respective organization.
- For GATE qualifiers, the final selection will be based on the Merit list, which is prepared by considering certain parameters and their weightage.
