Eligibility Criteria of Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE )

The Odisha Joint Entrance Exam Committee released the OJEE eligibility criteria 2025 along with the information brochure. These criteria set the rules that aspiring students must meet to apply for the OJEE 2025 exam successfully. The norms mostly include academic requirements that every interested aspirant must fulfill.

The OJEE 2025 eligibility criteria differ for various undergraduate and graduate programs. Students who wish to join an undergraduate course must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board or obtained a 10+2. Similarly, students seeking admission to postgraduate courses through OJEE must have completed their graduation from an accredited board or institution with a degree in a related field. Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible. For lateral admission, students need to possess a diploma in a related field.

OJEE 2025 General Eligibility Criteria

Check below the general eligibility criteria for the OJEE exams.

Nationality:  Students applying for OJEE 2025 must be citizens of India. NRI or PIO students can also apply, but their admission will be for supernumerary seats if seats are available in excess.

OJEE 2025 Age Limit:  There is no age restriction for applying to OJEE 2025, except for B Tech Marine Engineering, where the maximum age limit is 22 years at the time of admission.

Qualifying Marks: Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in their qualifying exam. Reserved category students must score 40% marks.

OJEE MBA Eligibility Criteria

  • Students should have passed or be appearing in the  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy exam, which should be of a minimum 4 or 5 years duration in any discipline, from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE.
  • Students should have passed or be appearing in the 2025 Bachelor's degree exam, which should be of a minimum three years duration, from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE.
  • Students should have received at least 50% marks. It is 45% for students belonging to the SC/ST category) in the qualifying exam.
  • There is no age limit for admission to the MBA course.

OJEE M Tech / M Pharm / M Arch Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have passed or are appearing in the 2025 Bachelor's degree (B Tech) / M Sc in the relevant field from any University of Odisha, an AICTE approved Institute, or a recognized University as defined by UGC are eligible.
  • Students should have received at least 50% marks. It is 45% for students belonging to the SC/ST category) in the qualifying exam.
  • There is no age limit for admission to the M Tech (Regular) course.

OJEE Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have passed or are appearing in the science exam of CHSE, Odisha, or an equivalent qualification with Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the subjects from Maths / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject, are eligible.
  • Students should have passed the individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks. It is 40% for students belonging to the SC/ST category) in the above subjects all together.
  • There is no age limit to appear at OJEE 2025 for admission into Pharmacy courses.
