The important dates for the NIMCET 2025 exam are given below:

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria given below before filling the application form:-

• The candidates must have 60% or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (General & OBC candidates) in 3 years full-time B.Sc/B. Sc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT or related course.
• Reserved category candidates, including SC/ST/PwD, have to secure 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scare
• Candidates having B. Tech/BE or equivalent degree holders from recognized university are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the exam but they need to have a valid proof.
• Candidates appearing in B. Sc/B. Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT of 3 years full-time from Open universities are also eligible, provided their course is approved by UGC/AICTE & DEC of Govt. of India.
• The percentile of marks in qualifying degree will be calculated on the basis of scores of all subjects studied including language/ optional & additional subjects if they have any.
• The candidate must be citizen of India.

• The application forms will be available online from the 2nd week of February, 2025 in the official portal, http://www.nita.ac.in
• The applicants have to register themselves in the website and create a login ID to fill the form, Candidates are required to submit the application form before the last date; if it is been received late, then applications will be directly be rejected.
• While filling out the online form, the candidates must attach a scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and scanned copy of the signature.

The Application fee:

• Gen/OBC Candidates: -  Rs.1800
• SC/ST Candidates: -         Rs.900

• The examination will last two and a half hours and consist of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question.
•  Each correctly answered question carries four marks and each wrongly answered question invites a negative one mark.
• The candidates have to mark their responses on the OMR sheets supplied at the time of the examination. Candidates have to bring their own HB pencil, eraser, and ballpoint pen.
• Calculators, mobile phones, or any other materials will not be allowed in the examination hall.

The candidates are supposed to download their admit card online, the card will not be sent by post or email. The admit card will be available from the first week of May, 2025 until the late week of May 2025 .

In case your NIMCET Admit Card 2025 is not available for downloading, then the candidates must send an e-mail before the specified date giving details of the candidate’s application number and proof for remittance of fee. Telephone enquiries will not be entertained. The exam controller will issue a duplicate admit card, without an admit card, candidates will not be allowed in the examination hall.

The result will be available on the official website starting in the second week of June, 2025 in PDF format. Candidates can download their result by entering their Hall ticket ID number. The rank list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam. A common cutoff list will be prepared by the NIMCET 2025 exam body for all the participating NIT’s.

Choice of filling and locking:

The NIMCET rank will be published by June, 2025 ; candidates are required to fill out the list of institutes as per their preference. All the candidates are required to lock their choices before 5:00 PM  and after 5:00 PM, choices will be locked automatically. Candidates should note that no changes will be allowed after locking.

Online seat allotment and personal reporting:

The seat allotment will be made on the basis of their choices and the marks scored by the students in the entrance exam. Seat allotment will be done in three rounds. Candidates have to report to the allotted institute on the specified dates.

Candidates are required to select the correct examination center while filling out the application form, Once the center is allotted, it will not be changed under any circumstances.
