The authority has announced the WBJEE counseling dates 2024 on the official web portal. The authority will conduct the WBJEE counseling online in three rounds: the allotment round, the upgrade round, and the mop-up round. The candidate must pay 500 INR for the WBJEE 2024 counseling registration fee. Candidates must ensure they have all the necessary documents for counseling registration.
The counseling round will end and after that, the WBJEE Seat Allotment 2024 result will be declared through the WBJEE official website. If candidates are not getting any seats in rounds 1 and 2 of WBJEE counseling, then they have to get themselves registered for the mop-up round. Suppose a candidate does not exercise the option to participate in the counseling. In that case, they can also register themselves for the mop-up round of counseling and do the choice-filling before the last date. Candidates who receive counseling can gain admission to the top engineering colleges in West Bengal. To be noted, only if their WBJEE Rank is equivalent to the WBJEE Cutoff 2024, seats will be allotted as per the college preference.

Here is the step-by-step, detailed WBJEE counseling 2024 procedure that will be followed:
Step 1: WBJEE 2024 Online Counseling Registration
The candidates can visit the WBJEEB home page, where they will be able to find the WBJEE counseling 2024 mentioned at the bottom. "Important Links" section. To access the WBJEE online counseling student login page, simply click the link. Some of the data that an applicant is expected to put into the system would include, personal details, academic details, and his or her bank details during the registration process, etc.
Step 2: Fee Deposition
In this step, the candidates must pay an INR 500 counseling fee through the payment options available in the fee payment link. The candidates can deposit the counseling amount via a credit card, debit card, or net banking facility.
Step 3: Choice Filling
The website provides a list of colleges and courses for the candidates to choose from. Candidates should rank the colleges and courses in their respective disciplines in order of preference. In choice filling, it is suggested that the candidates fill the maximum number of colleges and courses that they can.
Step 4: Choice Locking
Candidates must freeze their options before the scheduled WBJEE counseling session in 2024. If the candidate does not lock his or her choices, then what has been chosen will be considered final, and the choices will lock automatically. Students shall understand that they will not be allowed to switch after the choices are put on the lock.
Step 5: Seat Allocation for the First Round
Initially, the authorities released the mock WBJEE 2024 to candidates, allowing them to verify whether the allocations align with their preferences. Mock seat allotment is also an option to change the candidates' choices depending on the outcome.
Step 6: Paying Provisional Fees
Only candidates who receive counseling in the first round will be required to pay the online provisional admission fee. The candidates will either have to accept the confirmation of the seating arrangements allotted or opt for an upgrade of the same. In both cases, it is inevitable for the candidates to pay the online provisional admission fee.
Step 7: Offline Reporting to Centers.
After the payment of the online provisional WBJEE counseling 2024 procedure, the candidates will have to visit their respective Reporting Centre for document verification. The candidates will get a provisional admission letter or allotment card from the reporting centers.
In this step, the candidates shall be presented with two choices. They have two options wherein they can either agree to the seat that is assigned to them or go through with the up-gradation process.
Other candidates who will be invoking the subsequent counseling and seat allotment processes must obtain their provisional admission letter and also report to the allocated Institute by the said date.
This third round of the seat allotment process will be in function with the number of seats remaining to be filled once the second round of this seat allotment process is complete.
