To partake in the WBJEE 2023 counselling, candidates must furnish essential information and meticulously indicate their preferred institutions and courses in order of priority during the registration phase. Building upon past practices, the counselling procedure is expected to encompass three rounds, each followed by the release of WBJEE 2023 seat allocation results on the official website.
Factors such as the candidate's merit, preferred choices, and seat availability are carefully considered during seat allocation. It is worth noting that counselling sessions will be conducted separately for those who qualified through JEE Main and WBJEE.

WBJEE 2023 Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2023
The eligibility criteria for admission into undergraduate (UG) courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture in institutions across West Bengal are outlined as follows:
1. To be considered eligible, candidates must obtain a valid rank in either WBJEE-2023 or
JEE-Main-2023 for 2023.
2. The admission process applies to various institutions, including State-aided Universities, University Departments, Self-financing Universities, Government Colleges, Self-financing Colleges, and Institutions within the state of West Bengal.
3. Candidates need to be at least 17 years of age.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Procedure
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Registration:
a) Candidates must provide their details, academic details, bank account information (for refunds), and address.
b) During registration, candidates must provide their application number/roll number, rank in WBJEE-2023 or JEE(Main)-2023, and academic information such as Class 10th and 12th passing status, marks obtained in English, and subject-wise marks in Class 12th.
c) Candidates must exercise caution while providing information during registration, as there is no provision for corrections after final submission. The Board will not be held responsible for incorrect inputs and consequences. On the official web portal, students can access the WBJEE 2023 Counselling Link.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Choice Filling:
a) Upon registration and payment of fees, candidates can view the available institutes and courses based on their eligibility criteria.
b) Candidates can select their preferred institutes and courses and arrange them in order of priority.
c) A candidate must provide choices to be allotted a seat.
d) Choices are displayed alphabetically for easy search, and candidates can search based on institutes and branches.
e) TFW seats are presented as a separate choice for each institute and branch, and candidates must select both TFW and non-TFW options if they are willing to accept either.
f) Candidates are advised to select a sufficient number of choices to increase their chances of allotment, with a minimum recommendation of 20 choices.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Mock Seat Allotment:
A mock seat allotment round will give candidates an idea of their tentative allotment. It allows candidates to assess their chances of getting a seat in their desired institute based on their choices and ranks. Candidates can modify their preferences based on the mock allotment, considering that it is for practice purposes and not final.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Choice Locking:
a) Candidates must lock their choices within the specified deadline.
b) Failure to lock choices within the deadline will result in the last saved choices being considered final and locked automatically.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Round-1 Allotment:
a) Allotment for the first round will be declared on a predetermined date.
b) Allotment will be based on the candidate's inputs during registration.
c) Candidates can check their allotment status online and must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 5000 through online transactions. They must download the allotment letter and report to the allotted institute for document verification.
d) Non-payment of the seat acceptance fee will cancel the current allotment, and the candidate will not be considered for further rounds of seat allotment.
WBJEE Counselling 2023 Document Verification:
a) Document verification is the responsibility of the allotted institute. Candidates must report to the institute within the specified date, carrying printed copies of their allotment letters and all required academic and other documents for physical verification.
b) The outcome of document verification can include cancellation of the allotment if the candidate is found ineligible, completion of admission formalities for the first choice, or participation in further rounds of seat allotment.

New Changes in WBJEE Counselling 2023
The WBJEE Counselling 2023 will introduce several new changes and adhere to the following rules and guidelines:
1. There will be a combined counselling process for both WBJEE-2023 and JEE(Main)-2023 rank holders.
2. The counselling process will be conducted through a centralized online system, including registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and seat acceptance fee payment.
3. The counselling will consider the institutes and courses listed in the approved Seat Matrix published by the Competent Authority (DTE, Govt. of WB). The Seat Matrix can be found on the Board's official websites: www.wbjeeb.nic.in and www.wbjeeb.in.
4. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have secured a rank in WBJEE-2023 and JEE(Main)-2023 can register for counselling.
5. The counselling process will comprise three rounds: Allotment, Upgradation, and Mop-Up.
6. Registration is mandatory for counselling and seat allotment. Candidates must register at the beginning of Round-I and Mop-Up rounds. Non-registered candidates will not be considered for seat allotment in any round.
7. The Board will not convert or de-reserve any vacant seat in reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD to the general/unreserved category during any round of counselling.
8. Vacant seats under the TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) category will not be converted to the general/unreserved category as per AICTE guidelines.
9. The WBJEE 2023 Counselling Fees Rs. 500, which is non-refundable under any circumstance. The registration fee for the Mop-Up round is also applicable (as mentioned in para 7.0(c and d)) and is non-refundable.
These changes aim to streamline and simplify the counselling process for WBJEE-2023, providing a centralized and efficient system for candidates to secure their preferred seats in the participating institutes.

Step 2: On the homepage, Navigate and click on the "WBJEE 2023 Counselling Registration link”.
Step 3: Enter your registered login credentials and submit the information.
Step 4: Fill up the WBJEE 2023 counselling form with the required details and pay the counselling fees.
Step 5: After finishing the form, click on the "Submit" button and ensure to save the confirmation page.
Step 6: Finally, take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
