The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam to be held on October 4 and is not postponed. UPSC conducts the examination for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India. UPSC has put up the guidelines for candidates to appear for the exam need to follow.
The plea is been opposed by The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) saying all the necessary precautions have been taken and requisite arrangements have been made for holding the exam.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission has set certain rules as precautionary measures to avoid the spread of infection. UPSC Civil Services Exam Day Rules are as follows:
- It is mandatory for candidates to wear mask on the exam day. Candidates without the mask or without covering the face are not allowed to enter the exam venue.
- UPSC has asked candidates to get their own sanitizers in transparent bottles to the exam centre.
- As known as all we have been following that candidate must follow COVID 19 norms of personal hygiene and social distancing not just inside the examination hall but inside the venue premises.
- They also mentioned that UPSC has made separate arrangements for students suffering from cold and cough.
- Added to all UPSC Civil Services Exam Admit Card, black point pen, photographs are to be carried. Black point pen is to fill the OMR sheets and the attendance list.
- Simple wrist watches can be worn by the candidates however any sort of communication devices is barred to the examination room.
- UPSC has given instructions like candidates being Negligence or any Violation will undergo disciplinary actions against the concerned candidates like debarment from future UPSC examination or selection process.
The Supreme Court Wednesday denied postponing of UPSC civil services preliminary exam, so the examination will be held on October 4 with all the safety measures. Earlier UPSC had scheduled on the exam on May 31 and it is been postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
