University of Mysore NIRF Ranking 2021: was positioned in 34

The University of Mysore (UOM Mysore) is a renowned state university in Karnataka. It was founded in 1916 by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar, and it is India's sixth oldest University. It was designated as an autonomous institution by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1956. NAAC has accredited Mysore University with a five-star rating and A-Grade with a CGPA of 3.67. UOM is a holding privilege for being 1st University in the State to accomplish accreditation by NAAC with a 5-star rating. In 2009. Karnataka Government recognized and rewarded UOM as Innovation University. At the same time, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has designated the UOM as a "university with the Potential for Excellence" (UPE).

UOM has been recognized and accomplished rankings in various platforms for its noteworthy academic achievements. University of Mysore NIRF Ranking for 2021 is 31 under the Overall Category. Aside from NIRF Rankings, UOM has accomplished recognitions and recognitions at the International level. As per QS 2020 Rankings, it was positioned in 58th Place. According to Times Higher Education Rankings 2020, UOM bagged 601st Place under the Life Science category.

The University of Mysore offers 72 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in the arts, commerce, science, engineering, law, and education. It also provides a variety of diploma and certificate courses in all fields. In addition, the University offers distance courses. More than 180 colleges have been affiliated with UOM.

University of Mysore NIRF Ranking

The Ministry of Human Resources and Development launched the National Institutional Ranking Framework, or NIRF, in 2015. It rates top schools and universities based on various criteria, including teaching & learning resources, research and professional practise graduation outcomes, outreach, inclusivity, and Perception.

  • University of Mysore NIRF Ranking 2021: was positioned in 34th under the Overall Category. Whereas under the University Category, UOM was listed among NIRF Top 20 Universities in India. Thus it was succeeded in securing the 19th Rank.
  • UOM NIRF Ranking 2020,  secured 47th Rank in the Overall Category. Whereas in 2019, UOM secured 80 in the same category.

  • As per QS World Rankings 2020, UOM secured 199th Rank in the QS BRICS Category.
  • As per QS India Rankings, it was positioned in 58 among all the Leading Universities.
  • According to QS Asia University Rankings, UOM was positioned between 301-350.
