The University of Hyderabad was founded in 1974 as a central university. The University has received UGC approval and NAAC accreditation. For the 6 consecutive years, UOH has been ranked among the Top 10 Universities in India by NIRF. In 2016 and 2019, NIRF has ranked 4^th Position for UOH.
