TISS conducts the Tata Institute of Social Science National Entrance Test (TISSNET) at the institutional level. This entrance test is mainly held for candidates looking for admissions for courses like MA, M.Sc., and B.Ed-M.Ed Integrated fields offered in TISS institutions. As per the exam event details, the registrations for TISSNET 2022 was open since December 17, 2021. Whereas the TISSNET 2022 Exam is scheduled to be held on February 26 2022.

The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for TISSNET is to have completed their graduation degree in any discipline. Candidates who are yet to complete their final year graduation can also apply for TISSNET 2022. There is no age bar stated for applying for TISSNET 2022.

Once the registration process is completed, candidates will be able to access TISSNET 2022 Admit Card via online mode from February 14 2022. The admit cards will be available via online. Candidates are requested to enter the generated TISS login credentials during the TISSNET registration process to download the admit card.

The TISSNET 2022 exam is held in the online method as CBT format. The medium of the exam is in the English language. TISSNET 2022 Question Paper comprises 100 MCQ questions. The exam duration is 120 mins. The paper is divided into sections of Analytical Ability, English language, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge. For each correct answer, one mark is allotted, and there is no negative marking in TISSNET 2022.

Selection Process in Tata Institute of Social Science

After the conclusion of the exam, TISSNET results 2022 will be made available online. Along with that, the institute will release the TISSNET Cut off for 2022. To be qualified for admissions, candidates will have to score secure more marks than the prescribed cut off marks.

The cut-off is secured sectional wise, and as a reference, the previous year sectional cut-off is applied:
14 Marks for GN, EWS, KM and AF, 12 Marks for PWD and OBC(NC) and SC and ST category students, no sectional cut-off is applied.
At first, candidates will be shortlisted based on the cut off criteria. Later, shortlisted candidates have to proceed for other selection rounds: TISS- PAT( Programme Aptitude Test )and Online Interview.
The TISS-PAT will be conducted for 45 mins as an aptitude test for the shortlisted candidates of the TISSNET exam.
For those who qualify in TISS PAT, only such students can participate in an online interview round.
The final scores for admission in TISS will be calculated from the candidate's scores secured in an OI
