SASTRA University Admission 2025-26 (Open) for UG & PG

Sastra University has announced the registration dates for various UG and PG programs for admissions. The university is accepting applications for BTech, 5-year integrated MTech, MBA, BA, MCA, BSc and Law courses. Admission will take place across Chennai, Thanjavur, and Kumbakonam campuses. It will depend on the program. Interested candidates have to apply separately for admission to their preferred campus.

The Sastra University application 2025 window for BTech and 5-year integrated MBA program will open on 6 April 2025 and will close on 14 June 2025. Similarly, 5 year integrated law program application will be accepted from 6 April 2025 to 7 June 2025. The MBA program will follow a admission process starting from 9 March 2025, and continuing until all seats are filled. Other UG and PG programmes will follow the admission process from 6 April 2025 as well. Sastra University BTech Admission 2025

BTech Admission Based on JEE Main and Class 12^th Scores

Sastra University will start admission for the BTech program at its Kumbakonam and Thanjavur campuses. The admission will be conducted under two admission categories. Candidates will be selected either based on a combination of JEE Mains 2025 score only class 12th aggregate marks. The distribution of seats can be checked below:

50% of the total seats will be allocated based on a combined assessment. There will be an equal weightage of 50% for both combinations.
A rank list will be prepared using this scoring system. After that, seats will be allocated based on the candidate's rank.

BTech Admission Based on Class 12th Scores

The remaining 50% of seats for BTech admission will be filled based on class 12th aggregate marks.
There will be a separate BTech merit list for class 12 scores, and admission will be granted accordingly.

Candidates who do not appear for JEE Main 2025 exam will automatically have their JEE Main 2025 score counted at zero. For such students, only their class 12th aggregate marks will be considered. However, since all applicants are evaluated under both admission bases, the class 12th marks will be taken as 100% weightage. This admission process makes sure that all students have an equal chance of securing a seat.

Sastra University MTech and MSc Admissions

Admissions to MTech and MSc programs will be determined by marks scored in candidates, UG or PG qualifying degree.
Candidates who meet the required GATE 2025 cut-off will be eligible for a 50% waiver in tuition fee. There will be an additional stipend given as a scholarship benefit.

Sastra University MBA Admissions 2025-2026

Admission to the Satsa MBA program will be based on a combination of UG courses, an entrance exam, and a personal interview round.
Candidates who have high school in CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT or AIMCAT will be given preference in the Sastra University MBA selection process.

Sastra University Law Admission 2025-2026

The university offers integrated law programs, including BA LLB, BCom LLB and BBA LLB.
Admission to various Law programs will be based on CLAT 2025 scores and class 12th marks. Both factors will carry an equal weightage of 50%.

Sastra University MCA Admission 2025-2026

Admission to the MCA program will be determined by UG scores and entrance exams conducted by the university.

Candidates applying for UG or PG programs at Sastra University have to follow the below-mentioned Sastra University online application process as per steps:

Go to the official website. Click on the "Admission 2025" link on the homepage.
Click on the "New Registration" icon and enter the required details such as name, email address, mobile number, birth date, and preferred course, as well as campus. Create a strong password and then submit the registration form.
Fill out the application form by logging in with your registered email ID and password. Select the course you are applying for and enter personal details, academic qualifications and contact details. Choose your exam mood like JEE Main, CLAT, or GATE entrance test.
Candidates have to upload scanned documents in JPG format only. The documents include a passport-size photo, scanned signature, class 10th as well as 12th mark sheets, graduation mark sheets, JEE Main or CLAT or GATE scorecard, and caste certificate.
