IIT Roorkee conducts GATE 2025. All the eligible & interested candidates can apply using the GATE 2025 official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 application last date is on September 26, 2024.

GATE is a national-level entrance exam that is accepted all over India to avail admission in many of the top engineering institutes. Those who have completed their bachelor’s in engineering and are willing to pursue a P.G. program, i.e., M-Tech or M.E., or those looking for direct PhD admissions in IIT are required to appear for this exam.  Also, it is the gateway for obtaining government jobs in India.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2025: 


Students who are in their final year of graduation can fill out the GATE 2025 application form and also start their preparations for the examination. Candidates who have graduated in any of the engineering, technology, architecture, or science fields will be eligible for the GATE Examination. Graduates from other countries can also be eligible for GATE 2025 and apply for the examination, respectively. There is no age restriction for appearing for the GATE exam.

GATE 2025 registration process:

Here is the step-wise process that needs to be followed while filling out the GATE 2025 Online application form:

  • Candidates must then click on the ‘Online Registration/Apply Online’ tab on the GATE 2025 webpage. Under the GATE online application processing system (GOAPS).
  • Using GOAPS, candidates should go through the instructions and document details as specified for registration.
  • While filling out the form, candidates must enter the details like name, email, mobile and password.
  • By logging in with credentials, a unique I.D. will be generated and shared with registered candidates with their contact details.
  • Next, using the login I.D., candidates must begin to fill out the application form further.
  • In the form, specified details like personal and educational information will be asked.
  • The students must enter all the mandatory details, without which applications will not be submitted.
  • Another main step is to upload a scanned photograph, signature, photo I.D. proof, category certificate, etc., in a specified format and size.
  • To complete the process, the students must pay the application fee as mentioned using the specified payment methods.
  • Lastly, submit the application form after rechecking all the details and documents that have been entered.
  • It is recommended that you save, download, and also take a physical printout of the application form for further reference.

Documents and data required for GATE 2025 registrations are:

  • Personal details like name, contact details, DOB, parent/guardian details, address, etc.
  • Educational qualification details
  • Subject and the respective code to appear for GATE 2025
  • Exam cities of preference for any three

Documents:

  • Photograph in a specified size
  • Signature in digital format
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Dyslexia certificate, if applicable
  • I.D. proof such as Aadhar/passport/PAN/voter I.D./driving license, etc.

Note:

  • After the form submission is done, students will be able to check the form status of GATE 2025 anytime.
  • Using the login I.D., candidates can easily check the application status. Each update will be given after scrutinizing the respective zonal offices.
  • The GATE 2025 application forms will be scrutinized for the accuracy of details and documents submitted by the candidates.
  • The applications will be accepted after verifying all the details, and if errors are found, they will be rejected.
  • Later, confirmation will be given through SMS or email about the defects in the application, which they can correct as per the provided time frame.

 Application Correction Window for GATE 2025:

The correction window will open for students who want to make changes to the GATE 2025 application during the third week of November 2024. The registered candidates can modify or edit details in the application as needed.

However, some charges need to be paid to make the specified correction in the application form. The table below will list the cost as per the correction:
