NEET 2024 Counseling Process

All candidates who are eligible for NEET 2024 and willing to attempt the counseling for the AIQ seats in deemed universities, central universities, or ESIC colleges have to participate in the counseling through the online mode available on the official website of MCC. Below is a detailed explanation of the NEET 2024 counseling process.

  1. NEET 2024 Counseling Registration
  • Registering in the NEET counseling window is the first step. The registration process is fully online.
  • Booklets, other documents, or physical submissions are no longer required. Candidates just have to go to the MCC website to participate in the NEET Counseling 2024 online registration process and complete the process by paying the NEET Counseling 2024 fees via net banking, debit or credit card, and UPI.
  1. Choice filling
  • Candidates must fill out the choices by logging into the account they created on the MCC portal after completing the registration process.
  • They must select their preferred course or college in order of priority.
  • They can make any number of choices from the provided list.
  • In this dialog box, candidates have the option to insert or remove a choice.
  • They can adjust or modify a selection based on their preferences.
  • After this, they must make a copy of the filled-in choices for the subject's future use.
  1. Choice Locking
  • The next step is to freeze the choices entered by students, as this is the final step of registration. During the choice locking period, candidates must lock the choices and take a printout of the submitted choices.
  • Even if you make a mistake, you cannot alter the choices once you lock them.
  1. Document Verification
  • The universities and colleges will then cross-check the registration details and choices provided by the candidates. They will then declare the seat allotment results.
  1. Seat Allotment Result
  • MCC generates seat allocation results for candidates who registered and submitted their choices.
  • The final result, or seat allocation list, will be issued once a provisional result has been announced and candidates have had a chance to voice any complaints.
  • The candidate has the option to either accept the assigned seat and proceed to the institute reporting round, or they can opt for better seats. If they choose the latter, they have to schedule more counseling rounds.
  1. Reporting to the College
  • Candidates, who have secured their seats in the NEET 2024 counseling, must join their respective institutes for document authentication as well as seat confirmation.
  • A candidate’s eligibility will be canceled if he or she chooses the seat that has been offered to him or her, but fails to present himself or herself to the institute that the seat belongs to before the due date.
  • The unfilled seats from the first round shall be shifted to the second round.
  • However, the state quota will receive the remaining seats after the final round of counseling.
  • The vacant seats of the AIQ quota in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and ESIC colleges will be filled in the NEET 2024 Mop-up round counseling.
  • If some of these seats remain empty, they will be taken in the institutional round/stray round of NEET counseling.
