NEET PG exam date 2024 announced

The exam authority has declared a  NEET PG 2024 exam date. The exam will now be conducted for MD, MS, and other PG medical courses on August 11 in two shifts. Initially, the PG medical entrance exam was postponed. Now the authority has revised the exam dates.

According to the new schedule, the board will release a new NEET PG Admit Card 2024, on the official website. As per the change in the NEET PG 2024 Exam pattern, the question paper shall contain 200 multiple-choice questions and will be time-bound. The correct answer to each question will be rewarded with four marks and one-quarter of the mark will be subtracted for every wrong answer. Recently, the section that requires strict observance of time was implemented which was greatly opposed by the doctors.

NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Aspirants must have an MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate recognized by the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
  • They should also have the permanent/provisional NEET PG 2024 registration certificate for the MBBS degree from the Medical Council of India or any state medical council.
  • They should have completed the internship time frame before August 15, 2024.

 NEET PG 2024 Admit Card

The NEET PG 2024 admit card will be released one more time because the exam was postponed. The hall ticket will be available at the official links. It is requested and suggested to all the candidates to cross-check all the details once after downloading the hall ticket from the official site of the NBE. The admit card should be downloaded and the latest passport-size photograph should be pasted on it. The admit card should ideally be saved until the admissions process at an institution is over.

NEET PG 2024: Important Guidelines

  • The exam timing is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The deadline for entry is 8:30 a.m.
  • It is recommended that you arrive at the exam center by the reporting time specified in the admit card.
  • While there are no special requirements in terms of personal submission, all candidates must go through security measures taken on the company's property.
  • The examination hall strictly prohibits the use of mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, pagers, etc.
  • Candidates have been advised not to take bags, books, pens, pencil boxes, writing pads, etc. with them to the exam center.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Syllabus

The MBBS program's coursework serves as the foundation for the NEET PG 2024 syllabus. The syllabus contains topics such as Section A dealing with the clinical domain, Section B is pre-clinical, and Section C is para-clinical. These three sections consist of questions from the areas of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, forensic medicine, and social and preventive medicine.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern

For preparation, candidates should carefully look at the exam pattern. The question paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions for which the candidates will be given 3–5 hours to answer. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

Since the NEET PG exam is one of the most challenging exams, one should have the necessary information about the syllabus of the test as well as topics and their weightage in each subject, among many other things. Once candidates have a fair idea about these things, it is better to make daily timetables assigning certain times to subjects.

The candidates are encouraged to review the entire set of instructions before taking the mock test online. The mock test plays a vital role in preparation to get good marks in the NEET PG examination. The students should take some mock tests after covering the whole syllabus to assess their level of preparation.
