What After NEET Cutoff 2025

The NEET Counselling 2025 is expected to start in July 2025. Once the NEET UG 2025 Result, including the All India Rank (AIR) and the minimum qualifying NEET cutoff, is announced, the counselling process will kick off. This process will cover both the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the remaining 85% State Quota seats. Before each round of counselling, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the number of seats available.

A national NEET 2025 merit list will be prepared based on students' AIR, and this list will be sent to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for the 15% AIQ counselling. MCC will handle the centralized counselling for the 15% All India Quota in four rounds.

The authorities will create a list based on NEET 2025 marks and rank for 85% of state quota seats. After each round of NEET Counselling, the results will be announced in the form of a NEET Seat Allotment list. Students who receive seats must then report to their respective institutes and complete the admission process.

  • In case of a tie, students with fewer incorrect attempts will be considered, following the subject priority order of biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

NEET Results 2025 Date

The NEET 2025 result stays valid based on where you want to apply. If you're aiming for an MBBS from a foreign university, you need to clear NEET 2025, too. The validity changes depending on where you plan to apply.

  • For institutes in India: If you're applying for MBBS courses in India, your NEET UG result is good for the current academic session only.
  • For foreign universities: If you're applying for MBBS courses outside India, your NEET result 2025 should stay valid for three years.

NEET Counselling 2025

Students who pass the NEET become eligible to participate in NEET counselling, which occurs at both state and national levels. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the national-level counselling for the 15% All India quota seats.

After the NEET results are out, the actual admission process starts. Students should start getting ready for NEET counselling by researching top medical colleges to where they can apply. Once NEET 2025 results are announced, every student gets their rank. These ranks can be used in the NEET College Predictor to see a list of medical colleges to which they can apply.
