MHT CET Counselling 2024 through JEE Main

MHT CET Counselling 2024 is a process for students who have passed the JEE Main 2024 exam and meet the requirements set by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. Through this process, students can apply for admission to the top engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Online counseling is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. It is commonly known as the CAP (centralized admission process). In 2024, students who undergo MHT CET CAP counseling will be able to gain admission to B Tech. The process consists of several steps: registering, selecting and locking options, seat allotment and acceptance, and finally reporting to the college for verification.

MHT CET CAP Counseling 2024 Dates

Candidates who want to join the MHT CET counseling using their JEE Main 2024 scores can register at mahacet.org. After the announcement of the MHT CET 2024 results, the MHT CET 2024 counseling process is likely to commence in the last week of June 2024.

In multiple rounds, the State Cell of Maharashtra will conduct the MHT CET-Centralised Admission Process (CAP) using JEE Main 2024 scores. The table below shows the important dates for MHT CET 2024 counseling.

MHT CET Counseling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the MHT CET CAP through JEE Main 2024 scores, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• They must have taken the JEE Main 2024 exams and received a valid score.
• Candidates must have scored above the JEE Main passing marks in 2024 to be eligible for the Maharashtra JEE Main 2024 counseling process.
• They must be Indian citizens.
• They must have completed their class 12 exams with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.

MHT CET Counseling 2024 through JEE Main: Registration Process

To take part in MHT CET counseling, the most important step is to register on the given date. Candidates should regularly check the official MHT CET CAP 2024 website for updates on important events and dates. JEE Main 2024 qualified candidates who do not register on time will be allowed to join the counseling process at a later date. We explain the detailed registration process for MHT CET 2024 counseling below.

Step 1. Register on the Candidate’s Portal

• Visit MHT CET 2024's official website.
• Click on the ‘New Registration’ option at the candidate's login portal.
• Enter your personal details carefully, including your name, parent's names, religion, category, domicile, and mother tongue.
• Provide your contact details, such as phone number, alternate phone number, email, and address.
• Choose a security question and provide an answer that only you know and can remember. This question will help you recover your account if you forget your student ID or password.
• To create a password, follow these guidelines:
• The password should be 8 to 13 characters long.
• It must have at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter.
• It should contain at least one number.
• It should include at least one special character, like !@#$%^&*-.

Step 2: Complete the MHT CET 2024 Registration Form on the Candidate Portal.

• During this step, candidates will need to enter personal and academic information, including their name, date of birth, contact details, JEE Main 2024 roll number, and other necessary details.
• Ensuring that all information is correct and aligns with the JEE Main 2024 application form is crucial.

Step 3: Uploading documents as per guidelines

• After completing the registration form, candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and other necessary documents, including their JEE Main 2024 scorecard, class 12th mark sheet, identity proof, and any other required documents.
• Make sure to upload the documents in the prescribed format and size, following the instructions.

Upload the scanned photograph and signature as specified in the points below:

• Photo File Size: 4KB to 100KB, Dimensions: 3.5cm x 4.5cm
• Signature File size: 1 KB to 30 KB Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm

Step 4: Paying the Counseling Fee

• Once you upload your documents, you need to pay the counseling fee online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. Keep the transaction details safe for future reference, as we cannot refund this fee.
• Paying the counseling fee is the last step to finalize your registration for Maharashtra JEE Main Counseling 2024.

Step 5: Submitting the Application Form

• After finishing all the steps mentioned above, carefully review the application form before submitting it.
• Once submitted, you won't be able to make any changes. So, make sure all the information you've provided is correct.

Step 6: Printing the Application Form

Once you have submitted the application form, remember to print a copy and store it safely for future reference. The application form contains critical details such as your application number, roll number, and other important information.

The MHT CET cell will review the documents of candidates who have successfully registered before their names appear in the provisional merit list for choice-filling and seat allocation. Here are the required documents for MHT JEE Main Counseling 2024:
