For the academic year 2023–2024, the Maharashtra State Government has proposed new regulations for admission to B.Tech and other professional degree programs. According to the article, starting in 2023, class 12 scores and MHT CET results would be considered for admission to B.Tech and other programs. Class 12 and CET scores will have equal weight.
Uday Samant, Maharashtra's minister of higher education, Following a discussion with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, it has been agreed to give the CET and Class 12 scores equal weight. It will assist pupils in setting themselves up well for their Class 12 academics. Students are solely paying attention to the CET under the current system.
Additionally, the CET Cell is seeking to hold the Maharashtra CET twice a year rather than just once. As the paper is also administered in a manner that allows students more than one attempt, this is recommended, like the JEE Main. MHT CET's official website will soon provide notice of the final decision on the number of tries and new entrance requirements.
Only admissions beginning with the academic year 2023–24 will be subject to the revised admissions regulations once they are in place. Current admission policies will determine acceptance to all courses for the 2022–2023 admission cycle.
