MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria in Tamil Nadu
Two major things to consider while getting admission for MBBS in Tamil Nadu are the educational criteria and Nationality of the applicant. The respective applicant should have passed 12th Board exams in any of the recognized college (English should be as one of the language) with minimum aggregate of 50% in subjects like Physics, Chemistry Math, and Biology (PCMB). The Tamil Nadu state accepts candidates who are 17 years and are rightly eligible for admissions in the state medical colleges. Also, the candidates should be qualified enough for the NEET Cut-off that has been set by Board.
Regarding Nationality, All candidates seeking admissions for MBBS in should be citizens of India.
If the applicant is considered domicile candidate then the Students applying under this category should have compulsorily studied in a Tamil Nadu-based institute that has been recognized by the state government for at least seven years. And the candidate’s parents should also be a domicile holder.

Step 1:- Registration
The application procedure for MBBS admission in Tamil Nadu is applicable both online and offline mode where the students can fill in the required details in order to be eligible for participation. Step 2:- Application Fees
The applicants have to pay application fees through online or offline. If the student is paying it offline then he/she should submit the bank receipt for the concerned authority. For general category the fees is5 00/- and for reserved category the fees is 500/-
Step 3:- Verification of documents
By just filling the application forms the candidate won’t be eligible for counseling, all the submitted documents should be verified by the authority to continue with counseling process.
MBBS Admission Selection Process in Tamil Nadu
The applicants will be assigned medical seats in Karnataka based on the NEET score and the merit rank list made by the authority. The candidate can firstly check the Tamil Nadu MBBS and BDS seats availability and their respective counseling details that are updated in the respective website. Later the seat allotment is done based on the preferences made by the candidate during the counseling process.
