Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission in West Bengal
Academic Qualification: To qualify for a postgraduate degree, an MBA course in West Bengal must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates should be aware of the edibility criteria before applying for the MBA application form. The Basic requirement is, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with the required 50% aggregate score from a recognized institute. Whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST Category will be permitted 5% relaxation as per the norms of government; hence reserved category candidates can secure a minimum 45% aggregate score.

Application Process for MBA Admission in West Bengal

Step 1-Registration: Foremost, candidates need to visit the West Bengal University of Technology's official website and register themselves by entering the relevant details and clicking on the “submit” option, and then creating a Login ID and Password to access the WB JEMAT application process.
Step 2-Fill up the WB JEMAT application form: Then, proceed to fill up the JEMAT application form, fill in all the required details like educational, personal, and contact details
Step 3-Uploading Documents: Candidates has to upload the scanned images of the Photograph along with Signature and Scanned copies of educational documents, and it should be uploaded in the prescribed format
Step 4-Payment of Application fees: Applicants need to pay the required application fees via offline mode (Demand Draft) favoring “WBJUT-JEMAT Payable at Kolkata JEMAT application fee charges INR 600 for general category whereas for the reserved category it charges approximate INR 300.
Step 5-Submit the form: Upon successful payment, candidates must submit the duly-filled application form, and then Applicant ID will be generated, and it will be sent for the candidates registered mobile number.
Selection Process for MBA Admission in West Bengal
Selection through JEMAT: After the declaration of the JEMAT entrance examination result, the concerned authority will shortlist the candidates based on the candidate’s performance in the JEMAT entrance examination. Later, the authority will release the list of shortlisted candidates eligible to participate in the MBA admission process. Thereafter, shortlisted candidates were required to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
The examination authority will then prepare the merit list based on the candidate's score in JEMAT and the basic overall performance in GD & PI.
