Academic Qualification: To qualify for MBA admission in Maharashtra State, candidates must meet the authority's academic requirements. The basic eligibility is candidates shall have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized university. Whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category will be having 5% of relaxation in aggregate score. Such candidates can secure a minimum of 45% in the qualifying examination. These students are eligible to apply for the state-level and management-level entrance examinations.
Domicile Rules: Candidates seeking to get admission for MBA under state quota through Centralized Admission Process should be residents of the Maharashtra State. Only such candidates are eligible to appear for counseling sessions. Similarly, Maharashtra's domicile/residents are eligible to appear for the MAH-CET entrance examination and can claim the government reservation policies and be considered for the tuition fee waiver scheme.
Application Process for MBA Admission in Maharashtra

Maharashtra domicile candidates seeking to appear for the MAH-CET entrance exam need to register themselves via online mode by visiting their respective portals. Step 1-Registration: Candidates must visit the official website of MAH-CET and must click the available link “Apply online” to access the application form. Then fill up the required details appropriately to complete the registration process. Thereafter, the application number of respective applicants will be generated.
Step 2-Upload Scanned Documents: Candidates need to upload the photograph's scanned images and signature in a prescribed format according to the prescribed dimensions.
Step 3-Fill up the application form: Proceed to fill up the application form by entering the relevant details like personal, academic, and contact details.

Selection Process for MBA Admission in Maharashtra
Selection through DTE CAP Counselling: In Maharashtra, the candidates' selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the state level/national entrance examination. DTE, Maharashtra, will announce the registration process for CAP (Centralized Admission Process). Candidates who have cleared any one of the following entrance exams, namely MAH CET, CAT, CMAT, GMAT, with valid scores, are eligible to take part in counseling sessions.
After the announcement of the entrance examination result, the authority prepares the merit list by considering the score obtained in the entrance exam. All the candidates whose names are featured in the merit/rank list must appear for CAP counseling rounds.
Selection through other entrance exams: Candidates who are unwilling to appear for DTE CAP counseling must apply the application form individually for the popular private B-Schools. Counselling Process for MBA Admission in Maharashtra
Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, arranges CAP Counselling session only for the candidates who have cleared MAH-CET, GMAT, CAT, and CMAT entrance exam. Step 4-Choice Filling: Successfully verified candidates need to fill choices in the option entry form. To fill up the choices, candidates need to log in to their account and fill in colleges' choices according to the order of preference. Once the choices are filled, candidates need to click on the “Lock” option and confirm it.
Seat Allotment Process for MBA Admission in Maharashtra
Seat allocation for MBA admission will be done based on the candidate's rank in the entrance exam, the seats' availability, and the choice filled up by the candidates. To check out the seat allotment order, candidates need to log on his/their account by using registered credentials and download the allotment letter and take the printout of it.
After allocating seats, candidates need to report to the allotted institute. They should submit the hard copy of the allotment letter and the necessary educational documents within a specified date to complete other admission formalities and pay the MBA admission fees to confirm a seat.
