Only certain number of MBA colleges in Andhra Pradesh consider national level management entrance examination in order to grant admission for MBA course.95% of MBA Colleges in AP accepts AP ICET entrance exam score. In AP, some of the Private Deemed Universities conducts its own entrance exam for MBA admission process. For example, GITAM University conducts separate entrance test called GAT (GITAM Aptitude Test) and even GITAM accepts CAT valid score. Apart from these, Indian Institute Management, Visakhapatnam accepts CAT valid score and KL Deemed University accepts CAT/ MAT/ AP ICET entrance exam valid score. Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission in Andhra Pradesh
Academic Qualification: Applicants who are seeking to apply for the MBA Programme in Andhra Pradesh must full fill the required eligibility criteria. Before applying the application form, applicants must be aware of the eligibility requirements. Minimum requirement is, candidates must have completed bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute with minimum 45% to 50% aggregate marks. Whereas, for the candidates who belongs to SC / ST Category will be having 5% relaxation in percentage as per the norms of government.
Domicile Rules: Andhra Pradesh Residents / Domicile candidates are only eligible to take up AP ICET entrance exam, similarly such candidates are eligible to secure admission for MBA under Convenor Quota (Government Quota). AP Domicile candidates are eligible to claim reservation policies and also qualify for tuition fee waiver and scholarships schemes
Application Process for MBA Admission in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh domicile candidates who fill the above eligibility criteria are qualify to take up AP ICET entrance exam. At first, candidates need to submit the application form for APICET by registering themselves via online mode. Applicants who have secured valid score in national level management entrance exam can apply the application form separately for individual MBA college. However, there will be different application process for AP ICET and other equivalent MBA entrance exam. Applicants who wish to apply for AP ICET, can check out the following steps in order to fill up application form via online mode.
Step 1-Registeration Fees Payment: In first step, candidates required to visit the official website (@ http://sche.ap.gov.in.) Then click on “Apply Online” and then choose the “Registration fee Payment mode” and pay the stipulated fees via online or offline mode. Upon successful payment, Transaction ID will be generated and then proceed to fill up the application form
APICET application fee charges INR 500 for all the categories. In order to pay the application fee via offline mode candidates required to visit nearest AP online centre
Step 2: Filling up AP ICET application form: Applicants need to fill the up the details which has mentioned in the application form namely Candidate Details, Qualifying Examination, Choice of Exam Centre, Category and many more.
Step 3-Upload the Documents: After filling the form completely, candidates required to upload the scanned images of Passport-Size Photo along with the scanned image of signature in a JPG Format as per the prescribed dimensions.
Selection Process for MBA Admission in Andhra Pradesh
Selection through AP ICET: APSCHE will start the admission for MBA under Convenor Quota usually in the month of June or July. After the declaration of AP ICET entrance exam result, admission authority will prepare the merit list/rank list based on the candidates valid score secured in AP ICET entrance examination. Candidates whose name featured in the merit list need to appear for AP ICET counselling session and then the seats will be allotted for the eligible candidates based on AP ICET rank and based on the choices filled by candidates. In Andhra Pradesh Private MBA Colleges ,85% of seats are filled through AP ICET score which is under Convenor Quota (Government Seats)
Selection through other MBA Entrance Exam: Very few limited Private MBA Colleges/Deemed Universities accept the score of National Level MBA Entrance Exam. Hence, candidates who have valid score in other management entrance exam can apply the application form individually for the respective colleges. In such cases, authority will shortlist the candidates based on the rank and shortlisted candidates need to appear for written ability test, Personal interview and Group discussion.
Direct Admission for MBA in Andhra Pradesh: In case if candidates not acquired seat in counselling through AP ICET score and Candidates from other state with CAT/MAT valid score can get direct admission for MBA course under Management Quota. However, 20% of seats are reserved for MBA Management Quota in Andhra Pradesh Private MBA Colleges.
Counselling Process for MBA Admission in Andhra Pradesh
As per the norms, All the candidates whose name featured in the AP ICET merit list need to appear for the state level AP ICET counselling session. Candidates need to secure minimum 50% aggregate in AP ICET entrance exam in order to get eligible for the counselling session.
Seat Allotment Process for MBA Admission in Andhra Pradesh
After the choices filled up by the candidates in option entry, AP ICET seat allotment procedure will begin. Authority allocate the seats for the candidates by considering their rank obtained in APCET and based on the choice filled up by the candidates. The final seat allotment order will be released on the official website, candidates can download the allotment letter by logging to the portal and advised to take the print out of it.
Later, candidates need to report at the allotted MBA College along with allotment letter and then required to pay the admission fee in order to confirm seat and then proceed to complete other admission formalities. AP ICET Counselling processing fee charges INR 1200 for General/OBC Category and candidates who belonging to SC/ST category should pay around INR 600.
