According to the latest update, both the Karnataka PU board and KEA- Karnataka Education Authority have confirmed to come together for a meeting and discuss the syllabus reduction for KCET 2021.
KEA is the conducting body of KCET, and this acts as the screening or the entrance test to get admissions for UG course in any of the public or private institute of Karnataka state. Some of the significant UG courses that accept KCET as a qualifying exam are- Farm science, Engineering, and B. Pharm.
They have scheduled the meeting for the first week of February 2021. The syllabus and pattern of Karnataka CET will be discussed in a long stretch and reduced topics that would help the students perform better amid the COVID situation.
Usually, all the essential topics in KCET will be on PUC's academic syllabus (I & II). But due to the pandemic situation, even the PU syllabus was cut-down to 30% as the online teaching was not that efficient, so the KCET syllabus is also affected.
The KEA Director made a statement that there will be a crucial cut of the syllabus for KCET 2021, which will be decided by the end of the meeting held along with the PU board.
Therefore, post the meeting, the authority might reveal the final syllabus, and students might expect the declaration of examination dates for KCET 2021.
