Karpagam College of Engineering began functioning in 2000; this college has been affiliated with Anna University of Chennai. KCE is accredited with NAAC grade 'A' and has approvals from AICTE and NBA. The courses offered in KCE are B.E, B-Tech, MBA, M.E, M-Tech, and Lateral Engineering programs. KCE has secured good rankings and recognitions, such as rank 251 for B-Tech by NIRF in 2020. Admission at Karpagam College is based on TNEA for B Tech/BE and TANCET for PG Courses. The total intake of students in BE is 250 and for B-Tech is 120 seats. There are up to five specializations offered in the B-Tech program, and nine streams are available in the BE Course.

  • Karpagam College BE/B Tech admission is based on 10’+2 academic merit followed by TNEA Counselling.
  • Soon after the 10+2 result announcement, Anna University will begin the TNEA Counselling via online mode. Candidates who have passed 10+2 at least 45% are eligible to register for the TNEA based on their aggregate marks.
  • Once the TNEA registration concludes, Anna University will publish the TNEA Merit List. The merit list is used to shortlist eligible students for the counselling process. It is also prepared by compiling the candidate's intermediate results.
  • Those candidates' names displayed on the TNEA merit list will be eligible to participate in the counseling. The TNEA authority will assign the TNEA rank for each registered individual via a merit list.
  • The process includes option filling, document verification, and seat allotment.
  • After the TNEA Counselling process commencement, even the college authority will release a Karpagam College TNEA Cut off list. The cutoff rank varies for each different BE/B Tech Branch.
  • To be eligible for securing a BE/B Tech admission seat via TNEA counselling, the candidate's TNEA rank must be equivalent to the TNEA cutoff as defined by college norms.
  • Only such candidates can fill in their choices during the TNEA Counselling-Option filling round. The authority will assign the seats based on preference and TNEA Merit rank.
  • Admission to the MBA or MCA at Karpagam College is based on TANCET Score. Candidates should also meet the Karpagarm College TANCET cutoff criteria.

Karpagam College of Engineering B Tech Cut off

  • The BE/ B-Tech minimum eligibility requirement in KCE is that they have completed their board exams with a minimum of 50% in the main subjects.
  • There is a relaxation of 5% for reserved candidates eligible for admission.
  • As selection criteria in KCE, they must participate in TNEA counselling rounds.  
  • The TNEA counselling procedure will be held in four rounds. 
  • The TNEA Counselling process concludes with TNEA Online Registration, Display of Merit List, choice filling, document verification, etc.
