Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has decided to conduct the JKCET Counselling 2020 Mop up round on 27th & 28th November 2020 in offline mode. The Mop-Up round counselling is being held for the seat allotment & upgradation of seat under the open category candidates. This decision was taken by concerned admission authority by considering the deficit in JKCET admissions in several disciplines of B Tech course which are offered by the participating institutes.
All the eligible candidates including TFW category (Tuition Fees Wavier) can participate in Mop-Up round. Candidates who wish to take part in JKCET 2020 Counselling Mop-Up round required to report physically at JKBOPEE office which is located in Srinagar with in a stipulated date & time (9:00 AM to 10:30 AM)
It must be noted, candidates who have applied under CAN & SNA Category, but not attended the previous counselling rounds due to the unavoidable reasons and those candidates who have been attended the counselling rounds, got seat allotted but could not possible to join the college. Also, candidates who are aspiring for the seat upgradation are also eligible to participate for Mop up counselling rounds according to the prescribed schedule.
Candidates whose name enlisted in the JKCET 2020 Merit List are eligible to take part in the all the phases of counselling session. So far, two rounds of counselling session have been completed. It is important to note, candidates who wish to appear in Mop-Up round, must download the counselling letter in online mode by logging to the respective website (@jkbopee.gov.in)
On the day of JKCET Mop up round counselling session, candidates required to carry all the original documents and must submit it for the admission authority in order to get their documents verified. Later, verified candidates can proceed for the choice filling round and it is advisable for the candidates to select the colleges/course according to their preferences and merit rank. Thereafter, seat allotment for Mock up round will take place. Admission authority will allocate the seat for the eligible candidates based on their rank, choice of preferences and availability of seats.
Previously, JKCET 2020 Counselling Round-2 was started from 5th November and for the same, seat allotment result was declared on 12th November. Also, this year JKCET examination was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic followed by Lockdown extension across the country. Hence, JKCET 2020 merit list was prepared by considering candidates aggregate marks in 10+2 examination.
