For BTech, BArch, and B Plan programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and universities and colleges funded or recognized by participating state governments, JEE Main serves as an entrance exam. The JEE Main 2025 exam serves as a prerequisite for the JEE Advanced exam, which is a requirement for admission to IITs.

The JEE Entrance Exam has three parts: Paper 1 is for getting into the BE/BTech course, Paper 2A is for getting into the BArch course, and Paper 2B is for getting into the B Plan course. NTA takes the JEE Main exam in online mode (computer based test) in various places and other nations.

The National Testing Agency conducts the JEE Main Session 1 2025 examination online twice a year. The authority have updated the JEE Main 2025 Exam Dates. The first session of the exams will take place from February 2 to 12, 2025, a departure from the previous year's schedule. For both sessions, the NTA will conduct JEE Main Session 1 2025 in two shifts, morning and evening.

The applicant may be able to submit the JEE Main Session  2025 application form on November 4, 2024, with a deadline of December 1, 2024. The National Testing Agency will tentatively release the JEE Main Session 1 2025 Admit Card on January 29, 2025, i.e., three days before the exam date.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency provides a detailed description of JEE Main 2025 session 1 eligibility on its official portal. The JEE Main Session 1 exam eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Only those students need to sit in the BE / B. Tech if they have passed the class 12th board examination or any other examination that is at par with that conducted by the Indian central board of secondary education, with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates interested in applying for the B. Arch Paper at the final design entry level must have passed the class 12 exam with at least 50% marks in math, physics, and chemistry, or a 10+3 diploma with an aggregate of 50%, including math as one of the subjects.
  • In the B. Planning paper, the candidates are required to pass the qualifying examination along with mathematics as a subject.

JEE Main 2025 Application Form Process

Step 1: JEE Main 2025 Online Registration

  • Initially, to appear for the examinations, one has to first make an online registration on the official website, namely jeemain.nta.nic.in, by providing details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, phone number, and valid email address.

Step 2: Fill out the JEE Main 2025 Application Form with the details listed below.

  • Under this part, candidates are expected to complete different schedules that include the academic history of the candidate such as the discipline, course of study, number of years for study, communication and personal address among many others.

Step 3: Next, you need to upload the required documents.

  • The next step is to attach all necessary documents that the authorities provide: a non-relative recent photograph and written signature, as well as the PwD certificate in the prescribed format.

Step 4: Fees for the Application Hour

  • After scanning all the required documents and submitting them in the prescribed format, the candidates must ensure that they pay the application fee online.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern

As per the exam pattern, It is envisaged the total of questions will be 90 which will attract a total of 300 marks. In each topic, it is proposed to provide twelve multiple true or false questions (MCQs) and ten numerical value questions (NVQs). Among the ten NVQs. Those who wish to achieve the NVQs have to sit for five out of them.
