IIM Ahmedabad has extended the last date of the CAT 2021 Application Process. Therefore, applicants who wish to appear for CAT 2021 have to fill the application by 22nd September 2021 (Till 5 PM) The mode of CAT registration or application form filling is online. Applicants must visit the official web portal to apply online. (@ iimcat.ac.in) The CAT 2021 registration was supposed to be closed by 15th September 2021. But, the admission authority has given a final chance to applicants by extending the last date.
To complete the application procedure of CAT 2021, applicants must pay the application fees of INR 2200. (General Category) while applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD have to pay INR 1100/- The mode of payment is online.
According to the latest update: IIM states, "candidates can choose Srinagar (J&K) as their preferred city for the 2021 CAT Examination". Thus, the admission authority has added a new city. So now, the examination will take place in 159 cities across India.
CAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria Revised: IIM has announced some exceptions in CAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria for 2020 & 2021 passed out students. And, also applicable for those who are in the final year at present. The criteria were revised due to massive queries from applicants whose candidature became uncertain because of the COVID 19 crisis
As per the revised criteria, the applicants don't need to obtain 50% as minimum eligibility at the UG level. Students who have completed their bachelor's degree in any stream can apply for CAT 2021. Final year students are also eligible to fill the form. There is no age limit for CAT. And, work experience is not compulsory. CA, ICWA, CS qualifiers are also eligible to apply for CAT Exam.
Since the last two years, most UG graduates have received "Promotion/Pass" Certificates due to the COVID pandemic. To be noted, Applicants having "Promotion/Pass" Certificate instead of "Award of Marks" certificate in any last two years (2020-21) of UG degree have to enter the option "Promotion/Pass" while filling CAT 2021 application form
IIM has announced CAT 2021 Exam schedule. As per the official notice, IIM will conduct CAT 2021 on 28th November 2021. Students who aspire to pursue MBA at prestigious B Schools must apply for CAT. 20 IIMs and many prestigious colleges all over India will accept the CAT score.
The previous year, CAT 2021 Exam Pattern was revised due to the pandemic. And this year also, the exam pattern follows the same guidelines as specified in the previous year. The exam will be online based. (Computer Based Mode) The time duration lasts for 2 hours. It will be conducted in three sessions.
As per the exam pattern, the CAT question paper comprises three sections: CAT VARC, CAT Quant, and CAT DILR. Students will get 40 minutes to solve one section. They will be allowed to move to the next section only if they complete the first section. There will be 76 Questions, and the total mark is 228. For every correct answer, students will receive three marks. While for wrong answer -1. Negative marking is not applicable for TITA type of questions.
Applicants who successfully register for the CAT exam as per the prescribed schedule can access the admit card online. CAT 2021 Admit Card will be available from 27th October 2021. Applicants must visit the main website to download the admit card. Take the printout of the same. It is an essential document which needs to be carried to the exam centre.
How to apply for CAT 2021?

Step 1: At first, browse the main website of IIM CAT. (@ iimcat.ac.in)
Step 2: On the home page, click on the "New Candidate Registration" link. A new window will display for creating User ID & Password. Therefore, you have to register by filling in all the relevant details
Step 3: After that, you will receive the confirmation mail and login credentials for your mail ID. Now log in with the created credentials to access CAT 2021 Application Form.
Step 4: Proceed to fill in all the details in the application form. You need to enter academic qualifications, personal information, Work Experience (if applicable) and other important information as mentioned
Step 5: Then, choose the exam city as per convenience. You can select six in order of preference.
Step 6: In the next step, make the payment of CAT application fees. The mode of payment is online. General/OBC Category have to pay INR 2200, students belonging to SC / ST / PWD should pay INR 1100
