The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is an autonomous entity within the Ministry of Commerce and Industry whose mission is to contribute to India's external trade sector's talent development. The IIFT in Delhi is a deemed-to-be-university. IIFT Delhi offers a two-year AICTE-approved MBA in International Business programme that is widely regarded as the best full-time flagship MBA programme for gaining competence in international trade management.
The Government of India founded the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in 1963 as an autonomous body to assist the country's foreign trade administration and enhance exports by creating human resources, evaluating and disseminating data, and undertaking research.
