Students can apply for Online & Distance Learning (ODL) Admission from IGNOU for the July 2024 Session
IGNOU is now accepting new students for the July 2024 session. If you're interested, you can apply for IGNOU ODL admission 2024. The IGNOU 2024 Registration link is available on the official website. The IGNOU 2024 application form's last date is June 30, 2024. It's a good idea to apply early to avoid any last-minute rush or stress.
IGNOU offers ODL courses in certificate, diploma, and degree formats for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Some popular courses include BSc in Sociology, BA in English, BLIS, BCA, BBA, BCom, MBA, MA, and many more.
According to the University's refund policy, if you cancel your application before getting admission confirmation, you will get a full refund of the program fee. If you cancel within 15 days after confirmation, you will get a refund after the Rs 500 deduction. For cancellations between 16-90 days, Rs 1,000 will be deducted before issuing the refund. No refunds will be given after 90 days from the cancellation notification.
IGNOU 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To get admission to IGNOU, you need to meet certain criteria. We have listed the admission requirements below so students can review them before applying to IGNOU.
- To get into UG programs at IGNOU, you must have passed your 10+2 exams with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.
- For PG Courses, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
- If you are interested in Diploma or Certificate courses, you should have completed your 10+2 from a recognized board.
Documents Required To Fill Application Form
Before applying for IGNOU in 2024, students should prepare these documents:
- Scan your education certificate under 200 KB.
- A photo scan under 100 KB.
- If you have work experience, scan the certificate under 200 KB.
- For SC/ST/OBC applicants, scan your category certificate under 200 KB.
- A signature scan under 100 KB.
How To Apply for IGNOU July Admission 2024
To finish filling out the IGNOU 2024 application forms online, students need to follow these steps:
- To start, students must go to the admission link of online registration.
- There, they can finish the first step of registration.
- This process is for getting their ID and Password for filling out the admission form. These will be their permanent credentials while studying at IGNOU.
- Next, students must fill out the admission form by choosing their program.
- In the form, they must provide personal details, academic records, and identity information.
- You must fill in the starred columns because the process won't move forward without them, so don't leave them empty.
- Follow the guidelines for document size mentioned during admission and upload scanned copies accordingly.
- Choose the study center nearest to you or the most convenient one for admission.
- Once you've completed all the sections, proceed to the final step, payment for admission.
- Make sure all details are accurate to avoid admission errors.
- After submission, you'll receive confirmation within 15 to 30 days.
IGNOU 2024 Fees Payment
When you submit your IGNOU 2024 registration form, you need to pay two fees: one is the registration fee, which you can't get back, and the other is the first semester or first-year program fee. For undergraduate courses, the registration fee is Rs 300, and you can pay it with a debit/credit card or net banking. Postgraduate course fees range from Rs 8,400 to Rs 45,000.
If you cancel your admission after it's confirmed, 15% of the Rs 2,000 program fee will be taken. If you choose a soft copy of the study material, we'll refund your fees after deducting the registration fee. But if you cancel after 60 days from the admission closing date, you won't get any refund.
How To Check the IGNOU 2024 Admission Status
IGNOU has found that students often struggle to know if their admission is confirmed or not. But there's a simple way to check your admission status for July sessions. log in to the official portal using your enrollment user ID and password, and you can see all the details about your admission.
Students can now easily access admission and registration details for all programs, including undergraduate, graduate, diploma, certificate, and master’s programs, by following these steps:
- First, visit the university's portal, to check your admission status.
- Once on the portal, click "Student Support" and then navigate to the "Student Zone" tab.
- Among the options available, select the "Admission" tab to proceed.
- Open a new window and click the “Know Your Admission/Registration Details” link.
- Enter your enrollment number and program code.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- Your admission status will then be displayed on the screen.
- If your application is still listed as 'fresh', it means it's being processed and will be verified soon.
- IGNOU will verify your documents, and once confirmed, your admission will be approved.
