IGNOU admissions for July 2022 session are extended

According to the latest update by IGNOU, the candidates can apply for their admissions for the July session of 2022 till August 25, 2022. Earlier, the deadline for the July session was declared on July 31, 2022. IGNOU offers UG and PG courses for eligible candidates. IGNOU offers around 73 UG and PG level courses. The aspiring candidates can apply for their desired choice of course after meeting the University admission criteria. IGNOU conducts two sessions a year. One in January and one in July.

The Basic eligibility requirement for the IGNOU UG course is to have completed their 10+2 board exam with a min of 50% in their course subjects. In the case of IGNOU PG courses, the candidates must have completed a relevant graduate degree from a recognized University. The University will conduct an exam for the respective courses as selection criteria.

Once the candidates meet the educational criteria can apply for IGNOU online by visiting the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. IGNOU has also notified candidates seeking admission to UG and PG programs with fee exemption facilities. It stated that, in a particular admission cycle IGNOU, SC/ST candidates would be given a fees exemption facility which can be claimed for only one program. If the candidate has submitted more than one application for fee exemption, all the applications will be rejected.  

Below are the methods to apply for IGNOU admissions for July 2022. 

  • The applicant must visit the IGNOU official website at ignou.samarth.edu.in or ignou.ac.in
  • Enter all the basic information and the course details that the applicant has opted for to complete the registration. 
  • Next, use the login details and enrollment number and get the application form.  
  • Start filling the application form with personal, educational, and course details.  
  • To complete the process, the applicant must pay the application fees and click on the submission button.

All the docs have to be submitted in digital format through scanned copies. Even the specific size of the document will be mentioned on the website. 

  • Recent scanned copy of the applicant photo. 
  • Digital or scanned Signature of the applicant 
  • Age proof document 
  • Certificate of mark sheet of relevant educational qualification.
  • The applicant must submit a category certificate and BPL certificate (if applicable)
  • It is necessary for the applicant also to submit a copy of any work experience in the relevant course category.
