The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has been postponed the CA 2020 November Session & IPCC Examination in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry due to the consequence of Nivar cyclone. The examination was supposed to be held on 24th & 25th November 2020 but now the examination schedule has been revised by the concerned admission authority.
ICAI decided to postpone the CA examination due to confirmation of cyclone which affecting at the coast of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The decision was made by keeping the guidelines of meteorological department. Also, admission authority released the official notice pertaining the postponement of CA 2020 November session. As mentioned in the notice, the CA 2020 November Session exam has not been deferred for all the candidates in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, but it is for the specific locations in respective state. However, the cyclone effect is supposed to be limited only for the coastal areas. Hence, the exam has been delayed only for the few cities
The official notice also contains the list of cities where the CA examination has been postponed and announced the new examination date around 9 cities where exam has been delayed. The 9 cities include Puducherry, Cuddalore, Chennai, Karaikudi, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, Kumbakonam. These cities which come under the zone which is being endangered by cyclone. Hence, ICAI decided to delay the CA exam to ensure the safety of test takers.
According to the official notice declared by the ICFAI, the reschedule CA November Session 2020 will be conducted on 9th & 11th December 2020 only for the above stated cities.CA 2020 Admit Card which has already issued for the candidates will be remain valid for the rescheduled exam also. Previously, ICAI CA 2020 admit card was issued on 1st November 2020 in online mode.
