Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was established in 1998. The UGC of India has recognized GGSIPU. There are currently 127 affiliated institutes. NAAC accredited GGSIPU with an "A" Grade. Whereas UGC has been recognized the courses offered by GGSIPU. It is a member of the AIU and the ACU. In addition, the NMC has approved the medical courses offered at GGSIPU.MHRD NIRF has ranked the University in multiple categories. GGSIPU NIRF ranking 2021 is 51 in the management category. In Engg Category, it was positioned in 108. In the Law Category, it was featured among NIRF Top 15 Colleges. It succeeded in securing 12^th Rank. In the Overall Category, it secured the 99^th Rank. Whereas in University Category, GGSPU secured 79^th Rank.
