Goa Directorate of Technical Education (DTE, Goa) has been started the round-2 counselling session for the GCET 2020.Candidates who have been qualified in GCET entrance exam and whose name enlisted in the merit list can take part in GCET 2020 counselling session. In order to participate in the counselling round, at first candidates are advised to log on to the official website (@dte.goa.gov.in) to complete registration process via online mode.
According to the schedule notified by DTE-Goa, GCET 2020 Counselling for B Pharm, BE/B Tech, B Arch will be conducted till 29th November 2020.Candidates can check out the complete counselling schedule by logging to the official web portal of DTE, Goa
Earlier, Goa DTE has released the list of GCET 2020 seat allotment result for round 1 along with reporting schedule on its official website. It is important to note, candidates who secured seat in 1st round seat allotment process but wish to upgrade their seat and candidates who have not secured any of the seat in round-1. Such candidates are eligible for in-person counselling session (offline mode) which is being conducted from 23rd November 2020.
Candidates who are wishing to secure EWS & TFW seats through GCET 2020 counselling, should compulsory submit EWS certificate and Income Certificate during the document verification process. On serious note, candidates required to report at the counselling session according to their merit rank and as per the prescribed schedule which is allotted to them respectively.
Candidates who are registering for GCET 2020 counselling session, must note that in order to secure admission for the B Tech, B Pharm & B Arch courses, candidates need to complete document verification process and must pay the stipulated counselling processing with in a time constraint. Only verified candidates will be able to fill up the preferred choices in option entry form.
Thereafter, varsity will release the GCET 2020 Round 2 seat allotment result on its official website in online mode. Allocation of seat will be done on the basis of merit rank secured by the candidates, choice preferences and based on the availability of seats. Later, seat allotted candidates required to report at the designated college according to the prescribed date & time.
GCET 2020 Counselling Procedure
Step 1 - Fill the Registration form the GCET 2020 Counselling: Candidates must visit the official website (@ dte.goa.gov.in) and click on “GCET Application Form for Counselling”. Then, proceed to fill up all the required details in application form and click on “submit” option.
Step 2: Upload the documents- After filling up the details, candidates required to upload the necessary educational documents along with passport size photo in a prescribed format.
Step 3: Reporting in-person for counselling: Concerned authority will prepare the merit list in order to shortlist the candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be approached for document verification process. After the conclusion of verification process, verified candidates can proceed to fill up the choices.
Step 4: GCET 2020 Seat Allotment Process: Once the choice filling process is completed, varsity will allocate the seat for the candidates based on their merit rank and choice of preferences
