GATE 2024 Registration

IISc Bangalore will commence the registration process for GATE 2024 by August 30 or earlier. You'll find the registration link at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. You can access the GATE 2024 online application form until September 29. If you miss this deadline, you can still register by October 13, but with a late fee.

Remember that applications for the GATE exam can only be submitted online. As you complete the application form, please remember there's a non-refundable GATE 2024 registration fee. For female candidates, SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee is Rs. 900, while for all other candidates, it's Rs. 1800.

GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

IISc Bangalore has unveiled the fundamental eligibility requirements for the GATE exam in 2024. It is suggested that candidates review the eligibility criteria for the GATE exam before commencing the application procedure. It's important to acknowledge that the GATE eligibility criteria can differ based on the specific paper candidates will appear for.

 

Nationality:

• Candidates with Indian nationality will be eligible.
• Candidates from countries other than India will also be eligible.

 

Academic Qualification:

• Applicants should have finished a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or a master's degree in a relevant science discipline.
• Candidates in their qualifying degree's penultimate or final year can also participate in GATE 2024.
• Individuals who have obtained or are pursuing their qualifying degrees from nations other than India must be in their 3rd year or beyond or have finished a Bachelor's degree (with a duration of at least 3 years) in Engineering/Technology/Science/Arts/Commerce.

 

GATE Age Limit:

• There are no age limitations for GATE 2024.

GATE Attempt Limit:

• There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for GATE.

How to apply for GATE 2024?

Step-by-Step Guide for Completing the GATE Application Form 2024

 

Step 1 - GATE Registration:

Access the official website to find the GATE online application link 2024. Utilize the GATE 2024 registration link in the article to initiate registration via the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Input the following information to register for the GATE 2024 exam:

• First, middle, and last name of the candidate
• Valid email address
• Country of residence
• Mobile number
• Password for future login

Once the above details are entered, click the 'submit' button. A system-generated Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the email ID and mobile number. Use the OTP to finalize the GATE 2024 registration process. Upon positive registration, candidates will receive a unique enrollment ID.

Note: If the OTP is delayed, candidates can process payment verification using either the email address or mobile number. The remaining verification can be completed at a later stage.

 

Step 2 - Login and Complete GATE Exam Application Form:

After successful registration, log in to the system and complete the application form with the following details:

• Personal Information: Include the candidate's name, names of parents, date of birth, and nativity.
• Academic Details: Provide information on academic qualifications from high school to graduation.
• Communication Details: Furnish both current and permanent addresses.
• GATE Paper: Select the specific GATE paper for which the candidate is applying. Note: Changing the selected GATE 2024 exam paper is not permitted after submission.
• GATE 2024 Exam Center: Choose three preferred exam cities, with the first two being from the same zone and the third from any GATE 2024 regional zone.
• Photo Identity Proof: Enter the chosen photo identification type's details and associated number.

 

Step 3 - Upload Scanned Images:

Upload scanned copies of the candidate's photograph, signature, and other required documents.

 

Step 4 - Review Application Form:

Before submission, carefully review and verify all the entered information in the application form.

 

Step 5 - Payment of GATE 2024 Application Fees:

How to Check the Status of a GATE 2024 Application?

Candidates need not worry if the application status is "Under Scrutiny/Under Process". Appropriate authorities examine all application forms. Applications requiring corrections to their photograph, signature, or supporting documentation are sent an email or SMS.
