As the Delhi University is shut due to the corona virus pandemic and is conducting all the theory classes online but the practical exams for final year students cannot be conducted online. Dean of Students Welfare on Wednesday said that the University will conduct Practical classes in the campus for the final year students. The final year students who need to use the labs for practical's will be allowed to attend classes in the campus.
The university mentioned that the offline classes for the theory will continue to be the same only students who needs use lab will be allowed inside the campus for practical classes.
Rajiv Gupta DSW arranged a meeting will the principles and HODs of DU affiliated colleges on 5th January 2021 to discuss about letting the students to the college to attend college for practical classes.
Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, DU affiliated College Deans, director of South Campus, Dean of Student Welfare and the registrar were present in the meeting that was conducted on January 5.
As the UGC has released guidelines on 5 Nov, 2021 about allowing the students into the campus, the university had detailed discussion on the same in the meeting.
The University will follow the SOPs and gradually let the students into the colleges in smaller groups for the practical classes.
In the official notification the Dean of Student welfare mentioned that the whole process of starting the college in February will begin soon and the university has started the preparations of SOPs so that students and faculties will be able to join the college with safety.
The decision of conducting classes in the campus is all depended on the students. After the reviews of the students the university will be able to take mandatory steps, he said.
