According to recent updates, Delhi University is expected to open the CSAS Admission Portal in July 2024 officially, probably after the release of the CUET 2024 results. Delhi University 2024 UG Admissions: Selection Criteria.

Based on the CUET 2024 performance, Delhi University will provide admissions for UG programs as of the 2024 academic year. Based on the results, the Delhi University CUET 2024 Merit List will be available. The list will be prepared based on the scores and ranks secured by the students.

• If the applicants are from an ECA or sports background, then they must pay an additional fee of INR 100 under each quota.

CUET admission eligibility criteria for 2024:

• Delhi University will consider CUET 2024 scores to provide UG admissions. The merit list will be provided as a compilation of marks earned in the Common University Entrance Test conducted by NTA.
• To get admissions through CUET, students at other universities must understand their existing policies about relaxations, reservations, management quotas, qualifications, preferences, subject combinations, and more.
• The criteria for university admission will differ from one to another. Firstly, candidates must understand the eligibility criteria for the respective program.
• Applicants are required to visit the official website of the university and apply for their desired program.
• Candidates who just participate in the entrance exam or pass the CUET will not be qualified to get admission. However, candidates are required to meet the program-specific eligibility requirements of the university for which they intend to apply.

How does DU provide UG Admission? 

Only the CUET exam is considered for DU UG admissions. The university also discontinued another exam called DUJAT. The UG course admissions will solely depend on CUET results in three phases.

• The first phase is the submission of an application form.
• The second phase is the filling of preferences and program selection.
• The third phase is through seat allocation and admission.

Facts about Delhi University Admission 2024 through CUET :

• If the applicants are willing to apply for Delhi University for 2024 UG admissions, they must appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Fresh applicants must register for the exam.
• As a new candidate looking for fresh admission to DU, they must make their registration for CUET, appear for the exam, and secure eligible cut-off marks.
• The CUET exam paper is divided into 3 sections. The first will be a language paper, the second will be a domain-based paper, and the third will be a general knowledge paper.
• Candidates can take up CUET with a maximum of six subjects, and one of them must be in a language.
• The applicants must have appeared in any of the 33 languages.
• The students must choose any of the 3 subjects from their 12th grade that act as domain-specific papers for Section 2.
• The selection criteria for DU admissions will be based on merit scores secured in CUET 2024.
• After the results are out, the eligible candidates must register with DU for the e-counseling procedure. The counseling will be held in two rounds.

• CUET results for the ECA category will be a combination of test marks (25%) and performance tests (75%).
• Certain colleges might have 50% reservations for minority candidates. Of that 50% of seats, 85% will account for admission marks and a 15% decision will be left for the college. The other 50% of seats will be provided based on 2024 CUET results.
