Admissions for Delhi University will depend on Entrance exam scores and Board exam results; Statement by Officials.
For the admissions for Delhi University for the upcoming academic year, the authorities accept the candidates majorly based on their standard admission test, widely known as CUCET- Central University Common Entrance Test. Along with this, they will also ask for the percentage of the candidates' board exams. The admissions will be given mainly for UG programs for various courses. But still, the weightage of these two scores is yet to be understood for deciding the eligibility of the applied candidates.
CUCET is a national level examination comprisal by 14 central Universities for getting admissions for courses like B.Sc, B.Tech, Integrated B.sc., M.A, M.Sc, and other UG and PG programs as well. DU, as declared, will give more importance to the scores secured in the standard entrance test conducted for Universities. If the admissions are for UG programs then, the board exams, i.e., 12th usual marks, are also given equal importance. The interested candidates willing to access Delhi University will have to apply for this CUCET 2021 exam.
The University officials have stated that CUCET must have the modalities to make this standard test with a high-quality aptitude test, readily accepted by many central Universities. NTA will ensure that the CUCET exam has few specialized subjects such as sciences, languages, humanities, vocational, and arts subjects. CUCET is conducted twice a year, and the evaluation of students is done by considering the cutoff criteria, and the applicants must have at least 50 percent in their +2 exams.
Candidates must apply for CUCET online mode after passing the given eligibility criteria. After filling the application form, the payment should be done for the state and then take up the exam on the given dates. CUCET exams are conducted to test most of the conceptual understanding in the subjects. While attempting the exam, students will have to choose the topics according to their knowledge. The choice of subjects will depend on whether the candidates are willing to join the University. DU admissions are mainly featured depending on the cutoff criteria for every year.
