In the year 2000, the CMR Institute of Technology was established and popularized as CMRIT. The college functions under the CMR Janardhana trust, where more than 1700+ students are trained every academic year. CMRIT is a private institute affiliated with VTU of Belgaum. CMRIT has approvals from AICTE, NBA. Additionally, CMRIT has NAAC accreditation with a grade A+ and a scale rating of 3.6 out of 5. CMRIT offers courses in UG and PG in management, Engineering, Computer Applications and Science. CMRIT has gained popularity for its placement opportunities, and the highest package offered to date is 11.7 LPA. Some of the top recruiters of CMRIT are Infosys, IBM, TCS, Texas Instruments, and DST etc. The admission at CMRIT is provided based on merit as well as entrance exam based. 

  • To avail of CMRIT B Tech admission, candidates must qualify in the state-level entrance exam KCET. At the same time, non-Karnataka students can apply through COMEDK scores.
  • The CMRIT Bangalore B Tech cut-off keep varying every year based on different factors. The institute will release a separate cut off list for both COMEDK & KCET. 
  • Candidates seeking MBA admission in CMRIT must attempt KPGCET or KMAT Exam. Besides state level management exams, CMRIT accepts the scores of CAT, CMAT, MAT.
  • For M Tech admission, candidates are required to qualify in KPGCET. Candidates with valid GATE scores are also eligible.
  • The specializations offered by CMRIT in B-Tech are in nine different subjects, and for MBA, it is available in 3 choices, and for M-tech, it is available in 2 subjects.
