Executive Committee of Consortium of National Law University’s has announced the examination dates for CLAT 2020.Now the entrance exam will be conducted on 22nd August 2020 in online computer-based mode (CBT) previously entrance exam was held in offline mode (pen-and-paper based).Examination authority also specified in the notice regarding the changes in CLAT 2020 exam pattern. Due to ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, before exam was postponed twice. Earlier CLAT 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on 21st June 2020.
CLAT (Common Law admission test) is a national level entrance exam which is conducted for the candidates to grant admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law programs which are offered at 22 National Law universities all over India.
Examination committee also extended the last date to submit CLAT 2020 application form till 10th July 2020 via online mode by visiting the respective site. (consortiumofnlus.ac). Previously, application process was likely to end up by 1st July 2020
NLU Consortium decided that if computer based online exam is conducted at large number of examination centres, so that social distancing & public safety can be maintained.
Already registered candidates who wish to withdraw their CLAT 2020 registration, they can withdraw it till 10th July 2020.However, NLU Consortium will deduct INR 500 for general category and INR 400 for SC/ST Category before refunding the CLAT 2020 registration fees and fee will be refundable before 18th July 2020
According to CLAT 2020 new exam pattern, the mode of examination will be held in online computer based and there will be MCQ questions only. In old pattern 100 MCQ & 2 descriptive questions were asked, as per the new pattern there will be 120 MCQ questions. AS usual CLAT 2020 exam duration will be for 2 hours.
