Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, is now accepting applications for its regular MBA as well as online MBA program. The BIT Mesra online MBA program is specified for working professionals for the academic session 2025. The Institute has extended the deadline for both programs until 20 March 2025. The extension allows candidates additional time to complete the applications if missed.
Birla Institute of Technology Mesra ensures that there is a transparent selection process for all applicants. BIT Mesra MBA Eligibility Criteria
Birla Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria for Regular MBA
Candidates who are interested in the regular MBA program have to meet the following criteria for BIT Mesra MBA admission 2025.
- A bachelor's degree from any recognized UGC institute.
- General or OBC category candidates have to achieve 50% aggregate marks. On the other hand, SC and ST candidates are required to achieve a minimum of 40% marks.
- Final-year students can apply but have to meet the minimum required marks based on their last academic records.
- Candidates need to have a valid score in exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT or MAT.
BIT Mesra Online MBA Eligibility
Candidates who are applying for BIT Mesra Online MBA have to fulfil the following specific criteria:
- A bachelor's degree from any recognized university is mandatory.
- Students have to score a minimum of 50% aggregate mark. On the other hand, for the SC and ST categories, students are required to score 45%.
- Candidates with a degree obtained by distance learning have to ensure their program is DEC – IGNOU recognized.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience is required in a reputed organization.
- Candidates must provide a no-objection certificate from their current employer.
- At the time of admission, candidates must sign and undertake on Rs. 20 stamp paper.
- Candidates who are waiting for final year results must submit proof of degree completion or else, their admission will be cancelled.
BIT Mesra Application Form 2025 for MBA
- Go to the Birla Institute of Technology's official website.
- Provide important details like name, email ID and mobile number to open an account.
- Enter academic qualifications, work experience (required only for online MBA) and preferred course.
- Candidates must ensure that all required certificates, photos and signatures are uploaded in a specified format.
- After completing the application form, it is necessary to pay the BIT Mesra application fee. General or OBC category students have to pay Rs. 1500, whereas, SC or ST category students need to pay Rs. 1000.

BIT Mesra MBA Selection Process 2025
This selection process for regular MBA programs and online MBA programs differs slightly.
Regular MBA
- Aplicants will be shortlisted based on their educational records and BIT Mesra MBA CAT cut off in other entrance exams like MAT, CMAT, and XAT as well.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for MBA Group Discussion (GD) and Post Interview (PI) round after selection.
- Evaluation is based on personal interview performance, academic records, and the candidate's overall profile.
- The list of selected and weighted candidates will be displayed on the official BIT Mesra website.
Online MBA
- Candidates are assisted based on academic records and valid work experience.
- Shortlisted candidates must appear for a PI (personal interview) round conducted by BIT Mesra.
- Selection is based on personal interview performance and work experience history.
