Eligibility Criteria for BCA Admission

Candidates seeking to apply for BCA course admission need to meet the eligibility criteria that the respective colleges will prescribe. It must be noted that the aggregate score varies for each college. In this article, we have provided the general eligibility criteria for BCA.

Educational Qualification: To get eligible for BCA admission, an applicant shall have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from any recognized board.5% of relaxation is provided in aggregate score for the reserved category the norms of government.

Age Limit: As per the prescribed eligibility, the upper age limit of the candidates is 21 for the general category, and certain age relaxation is given for the reserved categories such as SC/ST and other categories. The Maximum age limit for the reserved category is 24 years.

Application Process for BCA Admission

In some colleges application process for BCA admission will be conducted in online mode. At the same time, some college’s application process will be held in offline mode. Before applying the application form for the respective college, candidates must make sure about the application mode and then apply. Some BCA colleges may not accept online applications in such cases. Candidates need to visit the college campus and collect the application prospects by paying the fees at the admission office or counter.

To apply online, candidates need to visit the respective website of the college and must click on the availability of the online application. In most of the private educational institutes accepts online application form. Candidates can check out the following basic steps to fill up the online application form for BCA.

Step1-Registration register themselves by entering all the required details. Most of the online application portals of the private institutes will be having the basic registration process. Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a confirmation message and also login credentials will be generated.

Step 2-Application Form Filling: By using those credentials, candidates need to log in for the application form page and fill the form by entering the academic & personal details.

Step 3- Uploading the Documents: After filling up the form completely, candidates are required to upload the scanned images of documents along with the Photograph & Signature in a prescribed format.

Step 4-Fees Payment: Candidates need to pay the stipulated application fees by selecting any available payment modes in the portal. The online payment can be made through Credit Card/ Net Banking/ Debit Card.

Step 5- Printout of application form: After submitting the application form, candidates must take the printout of it. Few institutes may ask for a hard copy of the application form during the document verification process.

Admission Process for BCA

The admission process for the BCA programme varies from one college to another college. In some of the deemed universities, the admission process will be done through entrance exam scores. At the same time, private BCA institutes have their own admission process and grant admission purely based on the academic merit in the 10+2 examination. Whereas In government institutes based on the aggregate marks in 10+2 cut off list will be prepared to shortlist the candidates for the admission process.
