B Tech Admission in Haryana Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: To get eligible for B Tech admission in Haryana, Candidates should fill the eligibility criteria prescribed under the respective engineering colleges. Before applying for B Tech admission, candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria. Basic eligibility is that candidates shall have qualified 10+2 examinations with a minimum 45% aggregate score (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subject) from any recognized board. As per the government's norms, 5% of relaxation in aggregate marks is applicable for the reserved categories.
Candidates who have completed a three-year diploma course with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks are also eligible for B Tech Lateral Entry admission.
Domicile Rules: Candidates applying for B Tech admission in Haryana under State Quota must be the resident/domicile of Haryana and have completed their class 12th from Haryana. Only such candidates can claim the government reservation policies, concession seats and eligible for the Tuition wavier Scheme & Scholarship scheme.
B Tech Admission in Haryana Application Process
B Tech Admission Process in Haryana will begin with the Application Process. To take part in a counseling session for B Tech admission, candidates must fill and submit the B Tech application form before the last date according to the prescribed schedule. Step 1-Registration: At first, candidates must visit the respective website of HSTES and must register themselves by clicking on the available link stating “New registration.” Then, candidates need to enter the required details to complete the application process.
Step 2-Filling up application form: Upon successful registration, login credentials will be generated, and candidates need to use those credentials to sign up the application portal to fill up the online application form. Then fill up the relevant details like academic information, contact information, category information, and other pertaining details.
Step 3- Upload the Documents: Candidates must download the scanned copies of educational documents and recent passport-sized photos and signatures.
Step 4-Payment of Application fees: Candidates must pay the stipulated Haryana B Tech application fees according to their category wise, and payment can be made via online mode. For general category application fee charges INR 500 and HGST, EWS, KM & TFW categories should pay INR 200
Selection Process for B Tech Admission in Haryana
Once the application process is done, the admission authority will prepare the merit list based on the candidate's score acquired in JEE Main Entrance exam. Counselling Session for B Tech Admission in Haryana
HSTES will conduct counseling & seat allotment to grant Haryana's B Tech course admission. The HSTES counseling session concludes with 4 rounds, whereas the JEE Main score will be considered in the 1st & 2nd rounds. The 3rd and 4th round 10+2 academic merit marks will be considered.
Step 1-Counselling Fees Payment: Candidates required to log in for the account using their credentials, which was generated during the application process, and must click the “Payment Link” and required to Pay HSTES Counselling processing fees through Net Banking/ Credit/Debit/E-Challan
Step 2-Counselling registration: Candidates need to complete the registration process by appropriately entering all the relevant details.
Step 3-Choice Filling & Locking: After completing registration, candidates must fill up the colleges and specialization according to their choice of preference in the option filling form. Candidates are advised to fill up the maximum number of choices, and then candidates are required to lock the choice to confirm and submit it.
Seat Allotment Process for B Tech Admission in Haryana
HSTES will allot the seats for candidates based on the JEE Main Rank /10+2 academic merit and based on the candidate’s choice of preferences. The Seat allotment order will be declared on the official website of HSTES, and candidates are required to download the allotment letter by logging into their respective accounts. After downloading, candidates must report physically at the allotted engineering institute and submit all the original documents to complete the document verification process.
