Qualifying Codes for NEET Eligibility Criteria 2025
Aspirants will be requested to pick the NEET 2025 qualification codes when filling out NEET 2025 application form. The information about the NEET qualification codes can be found below:
Code 1- This code must be selected by candidates studying the Class 12 board exam in 21-2025 and waiting for their board results. However, such students must have passed their class 12 exams according to the prescribed criteria before admission, or they will be considered ineligible.
Code 2- Candidates must choose this code if they are studying for the higher/senior secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), which is equal to the Class 12 examination and takes place after 12 years of schooling
According to the NCERT, science courses such as physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, mathematics, and any other elective subjects with English as a core subject must be studied. Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2021 or earlier and did not pursue any other course after finishing Class 12 must select this code.
Code 3- This code is for candidates who have passed an Indian University/Board or other recognized body's Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as a compulsory subject. A practical test in science disciplines should be included in the course. Candidates who have passed their class 12 or equivalent qualifying test through a state board must also use this code.
Code 4- This code must be selected by applicants who have completed a Pre-professional/Pre-medical Test after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. Practical tests in these topics and English as a compulsory subject will be included in the Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination.
Code 5- Candidates must choose this code if they are studying a three-year degree programme at a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as necessary subjects and have passed the first year, including practical tests in these areas. Candidates should keep in mind that the qualifying exam must be a university examination.
Code 6- Candidates must select this code during the application procedure if they have passed the BSc Examination from an Indian university with at least two subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology), or Biotechnology. They must also have passed a previous qualifying examination (10+2), including English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Code 7- Candidates who have passed any other examination that is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian board in scope and standard (last two years of 10+2 study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology which shall include practical tests in these subjects) must use this code. This code is also necessary for aspirants who have finished their qualifying examination in a foreign country.
Nursing Program Eligibility
Colleges will now accept NEET exam marks for students applying for a B.Sc. Honours degree in Nursing, according to the National Testing Agency. The following are the criteria for nursing students.
- All applicants must have passed their 12th-grade exams from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45 per cent in the general category and 40 per cent in the SC/ST and OBC categories to be eligible.
