Management Aptitude Test [MAT May]
The MAT 2025 exam registration for the May session will commence at the end of February 2025 and the result for the same will be announced soon. The May session dates will be declared soon, and registration will commence from the First week of March, and the link will be active till the first week of May 2025 . MAT is a Management Aptitude Test conducted as an entrance exam for management admissions in any country's B-schools.
The All-India Management Association is the conducting body for MAT 2025 , and the application link for the exam will be available official exam website. The applications are accepted only through online mode, and the authorities will accept no hard copy of the form. The interested candidates can choose either a computer-based exam or the paper-based exam according to their convenience. The deadline for application submission for the paper-based exam is by the first week of May, and for the CBT method, they can submit by the second week of April 2025.

The Eligibility criteria for MAT 2025 May session
The organizing committee will require that the candidate's minimum eligibility criteria for applying for the exam are that—they must pass their degree course without any backlogs and maintain a decent CGPA aggregate throughout all the semesters. More than 600 B-schools in the country will accept MAT 2025 scores for management studies or MBA admissions.
- The candidates can first choose five colleges to which they are seeking admission, and if they want to choose an additional number of colleges, they will have to pay INR 118 per college.
- Candidates must be residents of this country and qualified to be within the specified age limit under which they can attempt this exam.
- They can choose to attempt their exam in both CBT and PBT mode, and the scores of the better ones are taken into consideration.
MAT May 2025 Application Form & fees
Candidates who are willing to join the MBA course will have to compulsorily take up any of the management entrance exams like CMAT, MAT, CAT, GMAT, XAT, and so on. To fill out the MAT 2025 application form, candidates will have to use the online platform by visiting their official page and following the link for further steps in the application process. Once the application forms are filled and verified with the authorities, the admit card will be released for the respective candidates on the website itself.
According to the latest information about the exam, registrations will be open for the exams starting in the first week of March, which should be submitted within the stipulated period. With the MAT account, the students can fill out the application form partially and be it to complete it later. It is suggested that the students know their eligibility or their qualification criteria before applying to proceed with the application process.
Steps to fill MAT 2025 registration via online
Step 1: Registration through online mode
The desired candidates can visit the official website of MAT 2025 and register their names for the upcoming session. They will have to create their password and username to register so that the confirmation mail will be sent to generate the application form number. Through this number, the candidates can start filling out the application form.
Step 2: MAT Application Form filling
Kindly, the candidates will have to fill up the details in the given particulars by mentioning their educational qualification, age, personal information, mode of examination, center, subject, etc. They will also have to choose three convenient exam centers in the application form to make it easy for the AIMA authority to allow the exam centers.
Step 3: Attachment of Scanned documents digitally
After filling in the details, the students need to attach or upload the necessary documents of the candidates along with their photographs and signatures. This should be first scanned and then uploaded to the application form in the given or prescribed format. Later, the candidates will have to cross-check all the given information and proceed to the last step.
Step 4: Payment of Application fee
The whole process of application form submission will be complete only if the candidates make the payment for an application form. The MAT application fee payment must be made online with the help of a debit/credit card or by net banking UPI, E-wallet, or IMPS. The MAT 2025 application fee is around 1550 INR for computer-based tests and paper-based tests individually. But, if all the candidate wants to attempt the exam in both modes, then the fee amount of the application will be around 2600 INR.
Note: After finishing the payment transaction, the candidates will have to save the e-receipt that will be generated automatically and sent to them. This has to be kept safe, as it can be asked in the future process of the examination. The receipt will be sent within a few minutes of the transaction being made; if not, the payment is meant to be invalid. If there are multiple payments from the candidate, then the amount will be refunded to the candidate within 7–10 working days.

MAT May 2025 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
MAT 2025 is conducted by AIMA every year under four sessions with CBT and PBT mode, and the exam paper pattern is as follows
- All the questions asked in MAT 2025 are in MCQ or multiple-choice question format.
- The Total time duration given for MAT 2025 is 150 min or 2 ½ hours, respectively.
- The complete paper is divided into five parts or sections where each section has 40 questions
- There are around 200 questions in total, and each correct answer will carry one mark, and for the wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be reduced according to the marking scheme.

MAT May 2025 Results & Score Card
The May session of MAT 2025 will be released accordingly after the exam has been conducted. AIMA will declare the exact date for the result announcement later. As the exam will take place, the March session results will initially be available by the end of the month. As of right now, the exam will take place on March 24, 2025, so the results for the March session will be available by the end of the month. The result will be put up on the website itself and should be checked online. Candidates will have to visit the exam website, enter their exam roll number and application number to verify, and then download their respective result cards. The exam authority will send the score or rank card of the attempted candidates by post, and they can take a physical copy or printout of the result card and keep it safe for other references.
For now, the results for the Feb session of MAT 2025 will be out on, the results for the February session of MAT 2025 will be out on March 31, 2025, when the scorecard will be available on the exam page. The result for the March session of MAT 2025 will be live in April, although the exact date is yet to be mentioned by the authorities.
The scores of MATS 2025 will be valid for one year, and if the student does not get any admissions within a year, then the candidates will have to again attempt next year's MAT examination.
MAT May 2025 Admit Card
Admit cards for MAT 2025 May session will be released in online mode itself, and they will be declared a week before the examination. The exact dates for the May session admit card release is still not available, but the registered candidates will be notified about it. When the admit card is out, the candidates will have to check for the details printed on it carefully; if there are changes to be made, it must be reported to the candidates as early as possible. The candidates can avail of the admit card until the previous day of the examination as it is one of the essential documents that is required to take up the examination. The candidates will not be allowed to write the exam if they don't carry this admit card or one photo ID.
MAT May 2025 Counselling & Admission
Students will have to participate in the admission process of the interested institute as there is no separate counseling process conducted by the authorities. But some of the B-schools or management institutes will arrange for a GD or PI and then evaluate the candidate's performance to provide admissions. The MAT scores provide admissions for both MBA and PGDM programs of management.
The major criteria for seat allotment are the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. Once those eligibility criteria are met, the students will also have to submit their certificates and original documents for verification, without which the admission process will be invalid.
Cutoff Predictor
AIMA, the exam authority, will announce the MAT cut-off criteria once the results are out, and this can also be checked on the exam website. Here the students must obtain the minimum cut-off criteria marks to qualify for admission to their desired colleges.
Depending on these cut-off marks, the candidates will be selected and consider the total seat availability, the total number of students attempting the exam, etc.
