Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardised test being administered since 2003 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes. Any B-School across the state of Karnataka can consider KMAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.
There are over 200 colleges in Karnataka offering MBA programs. Karnataka has become the preferred region for students to pursue MBA program. KMAT is a Karnataka state level entrance examination which is conducted for admissions to post graduate management programmes in the private B-schools of Karnataka state for around 10,000 seats. The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT 2025) is an all India level management entrance test and was started with the felt-need to have a single unified test for admissions in the state of Karnataka into professional courses for MBA/PGDM .
The candidate should make a DD in favour of "KMAT and the year" that should be payable at Bangalore. Those candidates who are applying either for MBA or MCA have to prepare a DD of Rs.600/- and those who want to take up both MBA and MCA test will have to register for each test separately and two separate Hall tickets will be issued.
Bachelors degree / Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate 40% for SC/ST candidate.
