KEAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria of Kerala Engineering Entrance (KEAM)

CEE Kerala determines the KEAM 2025 eligibility criteria for students who wish to join Engineering and Pharmacy programs in the state. Students need to have passed or be appearing in the Class 12th or Higher Secondary exam with at least 50% marks to qualify for KEAM 2025. Students must appear for both Paper 1 (Chemistry and Physics) and Paper 2 (Maths).

KEAM 2025 is expected to take place in the 2nd week of May 2025. The Eligibility Criteria include parameters such as Nationality, Domicile, Qualifying Marks, Age, Relaxation in marks, etc. Applicants should be 17 years of age as of 31 December 2025. There is no relaxation for the minimum age, and there is no upper age limit for the exam. Only Indian Nationals can apply for KEAM.

Before filling out the KEAM 2025 application form, students can check the KEAM eligibility criteria for the exam. If students are found to be ineligible, they will not be given any seats in the KEAM 2025 participating institutes.

KEAM 2025 Qualification Criteria

Students need different academic qualifications for engineering and pharmacy courses. To be eligible for any course, they must pass the class XII or higher secondary exam with science subjects. Students who are appearing for the exam can also apply for KEAM 2025. The academic qualifications required for various medical courses will vary.

Engineering

  • Students must achieve a passing grade in the higher secondary exam conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, with a combined score of 50% in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Additionally, students must individually secure a score of 50% in Maths.
  • Students who have successfully finished the higher secondary exam from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, with a score of 45% in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry combined, are eligible for admissions under the management quota.
  • If a student has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science are taken into account.
  • If a student has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology will be considered.
  • If a student has not studied chemistry, computer science, or biotechnology, the marks obtained in biology will be considered.

Pharmacy

  • Students must be Indian citizens.
  • Students must pass the higher secondary exam with at least 50% marks in Maths or Biology individually. And a total of 50% marks in Maths or Biology, Physics, and Chemistry combined.
