This is a government institute with a deemed university status where admission to Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology for B.Tech or any other program are done through merit basis. For B.Tech admission it is JEE Main entrance exam score followed by JoSAA counselling through seats will be allotted. Direct admissions are not available as of now but then students shall visit the campus admission office for further details.

• Candidate must have completed graduation with minimum 60% aggregate.
• Candidate must have a valid score in CMAT/CMAT/GATE entrance examination.
• Candidate can apply online/offline with the required details.
• Admission will be done on the basis of academic credentials, entrance exam and also performance in personal interview.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview based on marks obtained in graduation and entrance exam.
• Selection will be done based on the marks obtained in the previous examination followed by Personal Interview.
