SKSJT is one of the oldest colleges in the state of Karnataka, situated in the city premises, makes it easy to commute to major locations. Being a government run institute, the college has a very low fee structure of Rs.18090 per year. Hostel facility is given for students residing outside Bangalore or who prefer to live within campus premises, at a very low cost compared to most private institutions. Also, the college has sought to maintain an equal ratio of boys to girls of 50:50, thus maintaining the norm of equality amongst all. They also make sure to provide separate hostel facilities for boys’ and girls’ to ensure safety and comfort. The college is spread around a vast expanse of 27 acres with a huge sports ground with badminton, volleyball, basketball and football courts for recreational purpose. And, a seminar hall and laboratories for the students to witness talks and put into practice their theoretical knowledge. The college also hosts a technical fest: TEQIP to bring into light their creative technical skills. The teachers are extremely helpful; fee waiver is given to the weaker sections of students by close analysis of parent occupation. In all, SKSJT has lived up to its standards and continues to improve to be nothing less than private institutions.
