RATE, is located amidst the greenery in the outskirts of Bangalore. Infrastructure is well-established with basic facilities like free Wi-Fi throughout the campus, well-equipped libraries and laboratories. Entry to the college would be through KCET or COMEDK for UG engineering candidates. There is allowance for students who do not clear through merit basis as well, through management quota. College fee through the exams is per government norms and management fees vary from a couple of thousands every year. Fee-waiver or scholarship is provided as per government norms. One can apply only through offline mode to the institute. As for the faculty, they are generally friendly and very helpful. Being a government run college, the syllabus is strictly followed as per VTU norms and exams are scheduled accordingly. Academic excellence holds high priority. Placement options are fair-enough with companies like Infosys, TATA, L&T, BEL, etc. Packages are on an average of Rs.300000.
