KSSEM is a private college, affiliated to the VTU. It has a huge campus, with all required facilities such as labs, hostel, playgrounds and transportation. The hostels are maintained quite well with sumptuous food. The syllabus is according to the VTU but exams are autonomously declared by the examination board of the college. The admission usually takes place through entrance exams such as KCET/ COMEDK for Bachelors in Engineering and PGCET exam for Masters in engineering candidates. There is also vacancy for students who don’t meet the eligibility criteria through management quota. The fee structure for a total of 4 years is about Rs. 132000, other expenses such as stationary and exam fees are to be paid separately. Internships are given priority and job placements are usually good with offers from CTC, Cognizant, Infosys, BSNL, etc., with an average package of Rs. 450000 per annum.
